Was looking for a new game. Came here to see how it was, saw the videos, went to Steam, and low and behold it was on sale, and picked it up. Glad I did. Now I wish I had the time to play marathon sessions. :)
Thanks Crastioowa. Sorry about no bullets. Don't have them on the other forum I go on so didn't know I could use them here. I got the game after watching some videos. I was lucky, it was on sale for $10 on Steam. I got all the DLC as well. So total I payed $20. So far I like it. My Sovereign died within 10 turns. I guess I should be leery about investigating every ruins eh? :P I just wish there was some naval combat to the game, and spies. I love playing the spy
I feel like getting a new game. I bought the game before FE (forget the name) a while ago, but never played it much. Found it a bit slow, a bit bland, but showed lots of promise. Sadly my laptop went poof so could not play it. Finally got a new laptop and been playing some old games. Want something new and surprised to see FE (which I new was coming out, but did not know there was stuff after it). So how is this FA:LH? Is it fun first of all? How stable is it? Reading the forums
What was wrong with Naval ships? What was so bad that they had to be removed?
I don't I would use a new Stardock DD, since I used Impulse. If they don't use Impulse and I want the Stardock game I guess I would use thier new service, but I rather stick to Impulse because for me, that is what I am use to. If Impulse becomes like Steam, then I will quit using Impulse and will go to GOG or Stardocks new service then. But for me, Impulse is good enough for now.

I see there is a new verison out now. So I am wondering what is the future of Elemental? Are they still working on it, by that I mean add new features, or will that be left for the expansion pack and it will just be tweaks and stabability issues now for Elemental?
I tried Civ V. I stopped and went back to it and played it again. I gave it a rest and went back to it again, and then finally came here. Yes Civ V is a fun game, but it has alot of problems, just like Elemental does. Then again, since you mentioned it, how come Elemental and New Vegas gets lamblasted for bugs and poor game play, while Civ V has NOT ONE MENTION of BUGS? I agree with gmot. Distant Worlds is a great game. I am shocked that Impulse doesn't carry it. I still wish there was more of my personal requests, but then again, don't we all want that? :P
As a newbie here, I am surprised this isn't in the game. I thought this was standard for any game. It's like buying a new car without power steering and breaks or no windshield wipers. I do hope they will put it in soon.
Played for about 3 hours straight. Saved a game, and it froze. I hit the windows button to see what it could be then got the "out of memory" error. I never had this before again, before the beta 1.19 patch. Hope this info helps.
I settled near a forest, because I thought it looked beautifull. So basically I started a new game once I saw it would cost me what 25 Gildar to clear all that. So that is like 500 Gildar to clear land. No fun at all if not really getting anything but loosing money. Something to keep in mind. Doing something that does not add fun is not good. Clearing trees just to have cleared land, just doesn't seem much fun if not getting anything else in return. It's easier to start over agai
Just got my first error message. I hit the windows button so I can exit the game so I can surf the net. I made a post here, and when I came back, I got an error message. Sorry I forgot what it said, I hit enter to fast. Just letting the developers know it happened. I will make sure next time, I read what it said. Happened again. "DX error invalid cell" it said. I never had this problem before.
Besides not being able to build anything on them, and costing me money to get rid of them, what do they provide? Do they provide production points to what ever I build?

I didn't want to make a new post, and thought here would be the right place to ask. I got the game with verion 1.11. So do I download the patch and then install it, or do I just turn Impulse on, and install the patch that way? Does anyone know what time? Would it be midnight, 2 1/2 hours from now? Eastern Standard time? Or anythime tomorrow. I want to start a new game, but I know, don't bother starting a new game because patched versions may not work. Also do I have to create
I am itching to play. The reason I am not playing? There is suppose to be a patch out tomorrow. So instead of investing hours and hours this week and not be able to finish the game, I will wait till tomorrow. So yes get the game. You might find it sucks, but I believe you are like me. I am assuming you have an Impulse account correct? Does it show up of games avalabile to you for download? If so you can download as long as you want, as long as Impulse is alive and running. If not, something else is wrong, and I strongly suggest youi to call them or email them. When I had a problem they replied the next day. Good Luck.
Yes it was sacrasm. I forgot to put in the smiley face. It was to make you think a for a second. :P. I think this is a great feature in Elemental that they can have so fast inbetween turns. I have never EVER seen a game process so fast.
Oh I do have one problem with Elemental. When I click end of turn, I am waiting and waiting, for my turn. The reason why I wait? Because it goes so fast, I don't even realize that it went by. So far in the begining of the game as soon as you hit end of turn, it is so fast, not like in Civ V and other games where you wait 20 seconds or more between turns. 1 second inbetween turns is so nice and makes the game go faster.
Why should you buy the game? Maybe because you want to? That seems like a good reason. :P Ok kidding aside, it all depends on what you want? I thought the casting for heal, was a tactical, so could only be done in combat. I discovered a heal spell, and wanted to heal my soverign but coudln't do cast it because it wasn't listed. So I thought there are some spells that can be cast during combat and some cast on the main map only. Is this the way, or am I not getting something?
