Most of the units are just a single figure, generally get focused, and are pretty weak. While writing this I realized I kinda wanna make a mod for phantom warriors from MOM. Although pretty weak they used to just wreck my high armored guys if they got close. They totally ignore armor. This seems like a great unit to add to this game.

Yes you can manually transfer your games. Just copy steamapps folder and the steam executable. All the rest of the files are optional.

Actually middle is pretty easy. YOu get your choice of the best lands and with all the lands you obtain you can usually take on whichever AIs that are mad because of close borders.

Snaking can be very useful for making more city plots near you available. Once you extend your borders out 5 squares from the center there is a chance you will make a plot fertile enough to plant a city down. This is another reason to pump up your zoc on your cities.

Here are some random tactics I've been using: RESCUE This is great for stacking up swarm bonuses. Move your hero next to an enemy. Then "rescue" one of your slower units. With your additional turn run back to the unit you are attacking. Now your hero gets a boost through swarming. Very nice once your hero has a mount. COMMAND If you have a unit that does more damage then the hero with this ability you should always use this. Th

I've only played WOM and FE campaigns. The campaign is a scripted RPG mode. It's designed to tell a story instead of teaching you the game like some other games. I will point out if you hate reading in games don't bother. Without reading the text the campaign will likely not be very fun.

[quote who="Frogboy" reply="41" id="3399502"] Fixed some annoying mouse behavior today. Going through this list. If I can code it in within a reasonable time, I'll try to get it into 1.4. Otherwise, it might wait for 1.5 or later. I've asked for someone to fix some map editor bugs that have been driving me crazy-er. Incidentally, we are still hiring. I'd love to add permanent, long-term people to the FE project that we pay via s

On the strategic map I would like to see the unit borders colored yellow or something if my units already have orders such as waypoints queued.

Yeah one thing I noticed in Stardock games is how little population has an effect on anything. War of Magic actually tried to implement it. In the future I would like to see more uses for population such as how they are implemented in MOO and MOM.

Also I believe the code is still in the game if you want to bring that system back. I havent modded for a while but I seem to recall seeing the damage types in the XML.

Tactical combat works differently in this game then Master of Magic. If I remember correctly in MOM each unit moved once per round. In Fallen Enchantress units can move multiple times per "round" based on the unit speed. It's the same system games like Final Fantasy Tactics move. Every step a units init score is added to their charge time. When this bucket fills they get to act. Once solution I believe could be modded in is to have a special wait ability for every unit that doesnt have th

The suggestions you have here were in Elemental : Fallen Enchantress. Weapons strength and weaknesses were effective against against certain armors. It was found out later it made the game clunky and was removed with Legendary heroes. I believe this information is still found in the XMLs and might be able to turn it backon. Should they change it...I think its fine how it is.

[quote who="ins2" reply="3" id="3398613"] Dear Derek and Brad, Could you PLEASE add the functionality of notifying us not only when a hostile army enters our territory but also when NEUTRAL armies (of the other UIs) enter our territory? I am hoping this would be a small change, using the same UI and functionality of the hostile army notification (an icon on the RHS - clicking on it goes to the army) but it would be a GREAT benefit to all of us pla

Found this on Pages Now and Forever. http://starcontrol.com/ Which points to Stardock site

They may have started working on Star Control before they got the license. I know when they started Elemental they were trying to get the rights to call it Master of Magic. Atari refused to sell the ip to them. Worst case scenario theywould rename it. The story from GalCiv campaign is an obvious reference to Star Control 2. The dread lords I believe is in reference to the end of Star Control 3. I might be wrong I havent finished the DL campaigns. I think with the Gal Civ 3 pic I might have to

I'd like to be able to edit a player created faction or sov without having to do so by recreating it or editting xml. For instance my faction is a bit more red skinned then I wanted. Being able to make a slight tweak and test changes on the fly would be nice.

Can you upload your save and let me know what mods you have? I'll try without mods too to see if it's a difference.

I believe you are wrong :D In the future section Brad posted a pic of an updated looking Thalen (pretty sure I misspelled that).

22 Replies 74,590 Views

Yeah not sure. It's a huge difference though. I was getting about 5 turns in before crash after turn 100 (med map, 3 AIs ... an oops didnt realize it until I conquered half the map before I saw an AI.) Yesterday on the same save I played 100 turns. Yeah I doubt geforce experience had anything to do with it. And my drivers were a week old. If you look at the log the game creates it should tell you if there is a bugged city.
