Yeah, judging from the teaser and what they have said, I'm GLAD they are sticking to the 4 party, turn based system. If I want to play DA, I'll play DA. I want Might and Magic. More of the same. Just like I like my Dynasty Warriors to be more of the same, so I want out of M&M.
Quoting Teslacrashed, reply 28Bought CE edition Heart of the Swarm, haven't opened it. I'd take it off your hands if you're interested ...
Haha, no way! I got to make all the D3 kiddies jealous with my Kerrigan wings.
I don't know what's wrong with me. Bought CE edition Wings of Liberty. Mildly enjoyed it, but not enough to justify the large purchase. Bought CE Edition Diablo III. Fortunately my 2 roommates and another friend of ours bought it, we all went through the campaign together, so we had a blast for a good 2 weeks with it. That made it "worth it" sorta. Haven't touched it since. I'm hoping by the time the Expansion pack comes out, it'll be worth replaying.
War of Magic is the first in the "Elemental" games. Fallen Enchantress isn't a sequel so much as another game, set later in the same world, with "mostly" the same mechanics as the first game. (Yes, just about everyone will tell you Fallen Enchantress is "better" than War of Magic) Legendary Heroes is an expansion pack for Fallen Enchantress, that is really going to help retool it into even more of it's own game. It will only be free to those who
I am SO glad the tactical combat is getting a major overhaul. I know ages back I made a post about the combat should be more SRPG-like (Final Fantasy Tactics, less-RPG, and that looks to be the direction LH is taking, and I'm glad (although I'm sure nobody read that post, I don't delude myself, I just want it on the record as something I called out over a year ago :P) I honestly voted for an improvement on War of Magic. I'd love for the family system to be worked on
So I've been following FE ever since it was announced. I'm in the Beta because I own Elemental (which I rarely ever played because I was going through a backlog of PS2 games at the time). I die. a lot. Even on Beginner. I try following what people keep saying on these forums (spamming pioneers is broken!). So I spam pioneers, and it doesn't seem to do me any good, and those colonies usually get snagged pretty fast by the enemy. I try spamming archers, I've read
I gotta say, although I love the new additions and features of FE, I do think WoM had it's charm and somewhere down the line, I would love a 1.5 patch, if FE does well enough to keep the series alive (which I hope it does!).
I like Warlock because it's more of what I want in a TBS game with city conquering without all the micro-managing. I like TBS games. I love the feel of conquering enemy territory. Compared to games like Final Fantasy Tactics and other smaller-scale Strategy games, outside of the main story narrative, there isn't a lot to make me feel like I'm really conquering. When I have cities on a map, and I can look an
I'm enjoying FE more. 3. I still kinda wish WoM was getting support, at least 1 more patch, a last hurrah to make it more "complete", but I understand Stardock has to choose it's battles.
I like steam, but mostly for games that involve either A) Made by Valve or B) Involve multiplayer that I want to be seamless (Shogun 2, etc). Also C) Indie games that that support Steam to such a degree they give their Steam copies DLC you can't get anywhere else, like Defense Grid. Lately, I've started buying single-player focused games off GOG.com if available. I do a lot of modding to Stalker, and it's wonky doing so with the way Windows 7 already does funny things
I just wanted to chime in I'm glad you guys are going for the "give everyone something brokenly overpowered" approach. Guilty Gear, a fighting game series, follows this idea, and it is one of the most well balanced fighting games out there. It's easy to get "mathy" when you give one faction +10% gold and another +10% diplomacy and to figure out which one is better at the end of the day. Meanwhile, is not getting atta
is there any chance of one more patch for Elemental?
GRRR, I I DON'T LIKE SUNSHINE OR PEOPLE AND HOW DARE A GAME COMPANY ATTEMPT TO USE SOCIAL MEDIA TO ADVERTISE THEIR GAME AND MAKE MONEY SO THEY CAN MAKE MORE GAMES AND GRRRRR!!! [e digicons]:|[/e] I say get the word out there as much as possible! I'll like the page on both my accounts!
THANK YOU! *ahem* For the love of all that is, I did not want to keep using the new Impulse after the Gamestop merger. I will gladly use the new SDC and thank you for making it!
If i had to choose between new features versus bug fixes, I vote for bug fixes as well. Modders can change the diffciulty and stuff like that, but often can't fix bugs. (for the record, I dislike advocating the Oblivion-style "let the modders fix it" mentality to developers, but in this case, I agree).
" Even if a Samurai's head were to be suddenly cut off, he should still be able to perform one more action with certainty. If one becomes like a revengeful ghost and shows great determination, though his head is cut off, he should not die." I love that quote. anyways, You have to remember, the game's combat
Stardock has always had a refund policy, unlike 99% of other game publishers out there. However, you may have well passed the deadline. But as far as I'm concerned, the fact he does it at all is amazing.
I did not intend for my post to be complaining, per se. I have lots of other games to play, and if I need to wait for 1.4, for a more stable and better game, then so be it. I have faith in Stardock. It's why I buy all of their games. I trust Brad Wardell.
Not only is that changelog riddled with errors and not up-to-date, but the 1.3 patch was released in an absolutely horrid state with many of the new mechanics breaking the game. It is beyond me how you can release a wank patch like this. What is the point of beta if you do not pay attention and fix the problems we report? It's a damn shame.
Can anyone else confirm this? I reformatted my laptop recently
Boxes are a waste of natural resoures, to repeat a point already being made, but one I definitely agree with.
Chrono Trigger. I remember renting that game over and over, and despite playing through the first few hours of it over and over, never being tired of it. I was so happy when my parents finally bought it for me for Christmas, and I was able to beat it the whole way through. That game just captivated me, and still does. I replay it at least once a year.
WOM and FE will just have different features. So there will be (ideally) reasons to play either.
better analogy. I own a sedan. it gets me and my friends from point A to point B. My mother owns a van. it gets her, and her work supplies from point A to point B. Both are vehicles, but serve different functions. Neither is "better".
Isn't D20 OGL? Why can't we use that for combat? WOM has been in development for years now (game+patches) and they still don't have a clue how to do a good combat system. It would be best to use a already established balanced one or go super simple like Civilization.
WHY in (insert your supreme beings name here) name would you want to use anything d20 base
