When I cast lower land on a hill, the cloth map turned it into a mountain. The graphical display looked like it was still a hill to me. I saved and reloaded thinking I had lowered one part of the hill and the cloth map was just freaking out. Upon reloading everything was graphically the same and the cloth map seemed to reflect what was displayed. I cast lower land on what appeared to be the remaining bit of the hill...the hill grew. I repeated it just to be sure and the hill

This save reproduces the effect, though my morale is listed in the battle as being 2-7 http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10467994/Ben2.EleSav edit: To provide further details, my sovereign has all the traits that reduce morale and all the ones that buff the enemies. I wanted to use the extra points for other things. If my AP is supposed to go to zero and stay there with low morale then this save probably won't help.

I was playing a map on normal last night and the AI in the early stages (within 10 turns of founding) didn't protect it's city. Maybe it's not supposed to, but twice now I've gotten a crappy starting location and wandered about for a bit until I ran into an AI that had yet to found a city, or had just founded a city and taken theirs. In the case where the AI hadn't founded one yet, I followed him around until he founded a good one and then took it shortly after. In that game I had

I did successfully receive the armor once I had cleared up my inventory before attempting. I hadn't left the quest first so I can't verify if there's a bug with leaving it. It's too bad that selling the items didn't work for you though, now I am out of ideas :P

It is a bug that you can build two of the special buildings. For some reason it doesn't remove the building right away and allows you to place another one. (But never more than 2!) The entry in the encyclopedia (starts with an h, not sure how to spell it [e digicons]:P[/e] ) lists most of the buildings as having a per-city limit of 1. A very convenient bug too ;)

I'm having the same problem as the OP (his first problem) For the second problem: Have you tried selecting all the units individually while holding ctrl? This is what I normally do and, while not fixing the problem, could be a workaround. I think if you have the city improvements window open, it tries to center the camera on the city so any attempt to look around can make the camera try and snap back. Maybe you have another problem, just my two cents on what might

I just checked the ATI drivers page and only found links to 10.7. Maybe I did something wrong and 10.8 is somewhere else, if so could you please point me in the right direction? I checked on the same page for the 4800 series and they all said 10.7 as well. edit: found a link on another site, though it not being on ATI's drivers page is a little weird <a href="http://downloads.guru3d.com/ATI-Catalyst-10.8-Win-7-%7C-Vista--(64-bit)-download-2609.html#downloa

I built my computer last week so I'm sure the drivers are up to date. I just had the device manager try and update it and it says it's at the most up to date driver. Unless ATI came out with a new driver update in the last week or just didn't have the most up to date driver on their site when I downloaded it, I don't think that's the problem I'm having.

So, I made a sovereign with all the negative morale bonuses. When he goes into battle his original action points are all he has to spend. If he uses them all up he does nothing for the rest of the battle, unless I choose to simulate the end. Is this a feature of very low morale? I usually have 6-12 during an average battle and find that this is sometimes also the case for my other troops. Just wondered if it's supposed to happen that way.

I'll dropbox a save file below, but I have improvements on everything above spiders (ie. drath, dragons, those weird spider-like things) but the only thing I'm able to recruit is a spider. Hopefully it's fixed in 1.05, but I didn't see mention of it in the changelog....and maybe it's just me. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10467994/Awesome%20start.EleSav I got a good start by ignoring my crappy starting location and going and taking another s

My assassins kept failing with 90%+ chances! (Also tried to save and reload a number of times to no avail. You can get different outcomes that way...but IMO it would take too long to be worth it) I weaned the baby assassins on the units with no commander, you could assassinate the default one with good chances and it was a good way to improve their skills. I did take out one nation and the pope 3 times though!

So, I'm not sure what you have to do to unlock the last level of this, but I've had the adventuring tree complete for quite a while. Sometimes after researching the next dungeon tech (Not heroes or resources) new locations show up but my notable location level remains the same. I'm not sure if you have to raise it another way, but I couldn't seem to find anything that let me do it. My sovereign is lvl8, I believe, and he does all the adventuring. (with a party of soldiers, s

In Medieval Total War 2 you could take out an empire by assassinating everyone in the royal family. I personally confirmed this...though the crappy random seeds on some of that made it more than a little difficult.

I know this isn't the issue the OP brought up, but it fits the title. Did anyone else notice that they can build 2 buildings when you're only supposed to be able to have one by clicking twice while building? http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10467994/Elemental_1282604182.jpg The pick has one of my towns with two monasteries.

I've tried it with 4 and 5 midnight stones as well and he always refuses to make me something. Edit: double checked due to the last post. the stones are still in my inventory, I now have seven [e digicons]:P[/e]

I was doing the wild goose chase mission, the quest log didn't update to show any progress as I went from house to house, not sure if it's necessary. The third witches hut didn't show up on the map (wasn't highlighted out of the fog like the previous ones) showed up when I happened to pass close enough by to remove the fog and was highlighted then.
quoting post I like the way they do business and I like them as a company, since Galciv 2 I just bought the game as soon as I heard about it and figured I'd like it. I haven't found one I didn't enjoy yet, flaws or not. Well, that's not surprising, considering the fact that the first game since GalCiv 2 that stardock has developed was... Elemental.
We

Nope, I wasn't aware it was such a bad experience. I understand it's probably an entirely impractical idea to implement and I don't expect to see it in this or future games, however I also think it's also one of the best Ideas I've ever heard for a SP strategy game. I was really disappointed when I heard it wasn't actually going to make it in when it was first brought up, but it remains an absolutely awesome idea. Sorry if I hurt any feelings by bringing it up.
