My Advent trade ports shut down when I resource focus... in Sins Diplomacy Sins Forums

I only play diplomacy (v1.34) so I don't know if this an exclusive bug or whatever, or if I'm missing something really obvious. So, I research trade port, build one, and soon after, I research the resource focus ability. When I click on that ability, the trade port stops all functions, (it says "Structure work disabled") and nothing happens. I check back later, and still no refinery ships have spawned, and all I'm left with is a quiet but stylish husk of industrial waste f

What i d like to see is some sort of next-gen variation. I want to get up close to the planets and see them develop, as cities build to continental scale and allow for better use of planets(as if one can make a HUGE difference). Perhaps build and design ships from scratch(hull and everything) and go from inventing the hyperdrive to possesing god-like powers... But perhaps thats a whole other game, i m just dreaming...
