But the real advantage is that it now also turns the target planet into a phase stabilizer node. (I think that's a change in Entrenchment. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong. I almost never play Vasari.) You didn't need to blockade-run the starbase to the next planet - you could have shot the planet and jumped straight there. For that matter, you could have shot at his home planet and jumped your fleet right into the m

I believe building a starbase inside an enemy well was one of the big points that Stardock/Ironclad harped on.
Ah, well that stinks.
Happened when playing Vasari on custom map with Artifact occurence set to 60.
Happened as Vasari with the Skirmishers
I haven't looked at the specs, but generally laptop vid cards aren't built for games.
I just started a game as vasari, and got the colony capital ship, with the colonization ability. I turned the colonization abillity OFF auto cast yet it appears to do nothing. I made the capital into a fleet leader and whenever the fleet arrives at a neutral well it rushes to colonise the planet. anyone else experiance this? EDIT re-toggleing the ability made no diffrence either
I'
heh, I guess the Advent's base would be the closest since it's a ring.
I agree with making mines visible longer, but not permanantly. I also agree with making starbase weapon range much larger. I agree with Gylukios that the Vasari base shouldn't be able to Phase Jump, that would just make it insane. You could build it up to max upgrades then unleash it via phase gates; it'd be crazy. I agree with having the sight for scouts be larger. I'm not sure about having Cap ships be able to spot mines. Maybe flak frigates? &n
/me is still waiting. I thought we were going to be able to play single player? I'm not a fan of multi.
Yeah, it's been like that for as long as I can remember. I tried searching for Entrenchment a few days ago and nada.
The vasari have phase gate's with which they can jump directly to other gravity wells in the same system with phase gates. These gates also double as cheap production centers with RA (returning armada). I think this is one of the things that realy stand out as end game technology. ^^ P.S. his allows for quick fleet movement in larger maps.
I was going to say the same, the phase g
https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/332313 I've yet to get the search function to work.
The waiting is starting to hurt now.
Damn. All I read of the thread title was "Public Beta" and thought it was for Sins...
I refuse to look at anymore press for Entrenchment. It's driving me completely nuts not being able to play it.
Ok, great. Thanks for the quick answers!
I currently playing a HUGE map to get various achievments, I was wondering if there was anyway to increase your culture on the far flung planets. I've moved my cap planet to somewhere towards the middle of my empire but some places still only have loyalty of like 35% Should I built broadcast towers along the very edge of my empire to help increase that planets loyalty or do these only effect enemy planets? If they help my own planets, do the effects stack?
I googled "arial regular" and the first thing that popped up was a site with a fix for this, here is the link: http://forums.visualtour.com/showthread.php?p=1591
I keep getting this error:
See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.ArgumentException: Font 'Arial' does not support style 'Regular'. at System.Drawing.Font.CreateNativeFont() at System.Drawing.Font.Initialize(FontFamily family, Single emSize, FontStyle style, GraphicsUnit unit, Byte gdiC
Am also spending more time refreshing the page then playing...
Something that may have been in the old version, but I just noticed: Some starbases have your civ's emblem!
So remove farms and such so that total pop can hit only say 15 billion? Edit: My pop is only at around 12b when it started to drop significantly.
I've noticed that if my planets become to populated then my approval goes down, but I start removing population via transports & colony ships it raises it up again. Bug/normal?
