What happens to enchantments when a channeler dies? It would make sense to have them simply go away, but this is a world so full of magic that even after massive destruction plenty of magic stuck around. Maybe there should be a small chance- 5%?- that enchantments stay in place once a channeler dies. It could add a little interest to the game and would probably take very little effort. Everything looks great! I can't wait for the release date!

What if outposts didn't have to have governors? That would eliminate the problem of having essentially no heros to govern in the early game. You could still make a few outposts, and as you got more heros, you could expand them into actual cities. While you'd still have to have some sort of measure to stop outpost spamming, I have much less of a problem with having a handful of large cities and a large number of outposts than with having a huge number of sprawling cities. &nb

Far from limiting creativity, I think that having just "arcane" damage will force spell creativity. If everything does the same kind of damage, then spells have to have very different effects. No "fireball" and "lightning bolt" doing equal damage but with different elements, for instance. Not that I'm against having fire and frost magic, by any means, but I'd like that kind of "rock-paper-scissors" strategy to be secondary. If you don't have fire arrows to fight the ice elementals, yo

It sounds a lot like the Total War system, which I liked a lot. A request, though- rather than making all sons part of the family line and marrying off all daughters, can we have some gender equality? Why can't you have a female sovereign? You could make it so that there's a decision whether to marry someone into a different family line or keep them in yours. This could add an interesting mechanic if children have traits- do you keep the children with good traits for yourself, o

There's a loooot of people researching in that area (natural language) and the state of the art is unable to do what you said in your first post right now, that's a fact, not anything against innovation. It's important to know what can be done and what can't be done right now. If you said you had an idea to have 1000000 crysis-quality troops at the same time in the screen all of them acting in a beliable way with their environment, well, the answer would have been the same

An interesting idea, and I love the Tempest, but I'm not sure it's necessary for the initial release. Also, while Prospero used spirits to accomplish his magic in the play, he also threatened to bind Ariel to a tree for 12 years if the spirit misbehaved (as well as initially freeing him/her/it from more or less the same situation). Clearly, he has some power of his own. (Just to be annoyingly contrarian.)

I like it! From where I'm standing, though, culture development seems to already be tied to biome in the game to some extent. Resource availability is determined by the terrain type that you build your cities in (as I understand it), so if you have a lot of cities in mountains you'll theoretically have more iron, for instance. The military side ("'I will march to the gap rather than enter enter the mountains of the hill people'") has already been addressed a little with the concep

Can we make our own images/take screenshots for the backgrounds of the unit cards? I'd like to have a lot of possible backgrounds, but I think if they're all built-in, it might be hard to sift through everything. And I know that modding to add your own backgrounds would be easy, but it would be nice if the functionality to take screenshots for backgrounds was built in.

Imo, art quality IS underrated in strategy games. I thought that GalCivII would've been epic (as opposed to just really really good) with less cartoony art. However, if Elemental lives up to the concept art in some of the forum posts, it should be artistically innovative (for a video game) and visually stunning. Though perhaps updating the media section with more of the art seen in the forums in the relatively near future would help avoid more misinformed, unfairly judgmen

The picture implies that training will give extra hp, which is a simple and effective way to show combat training. But can training do anything else, like supplying special attacks/qualities? Could I train archers to be able to hide in woods and make ambushes to make a "rangers" unit?
