I created a silver surfer logon if that's the one you're referring to. I'm working on the beginnings of a silver surfer windowblind but it won't be ready for at least 4-5 weeks (it's being made to match the bootskin & logonxp that I created for the silver surfer). The only way to get it quicker would be to create it yourself, possibly a great way for you to get involved in windowblinds creation - once you start, you'll be hooked!!! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Big

I went to work twice today, the first time for my regular shift and then several hours later to perform some backup testing which didn't end up working but took a decent amount of time & attempts (from 11pm to 2:00am... and counting) .... pointless

What's up? I expected to read something when I got to this post, nothing is mentioned here?! Maybe this is just a joke? Al, what's up?

You did a great job on the wb and the animations tutorial and for outlining your entire creation process, I haven't seen that much effort put into documenting the entire process in quite a while, I'm sure others appreciate your hardwork, I know I sure do! Thank you very much for the help you've provided to all of us on this process.

I recently create dock backgrounds (top, bottom, left & right back backgrounds & separators) based on a recent wb I created & uploaded called Blue ICE (the objectdock backgrounds were given the same name). I uploaded them a couple of days ago and they're no longer waiting in moderation but I haven't rec'd an email stating whether or not they've been rejected or accepted and they're not showing up in the objectdock gallery yet. Here is a link to the objectdock background I uploaded:<br/

Hope you have a great birthday!!! Are we allowed to ask how old you are? Let me guess... 29 Years with a few years experience on top of that! At my work we pass around a card and 'raz' the person of the day with jokes on getting older so I thought I would include a few here (you may have heard a few of these before but they're worth a repeat): You know you're getting older when:

Front page of the local winnipeg paper (canada) was titled "My baby didn't make it", a quote taken from parents of one of the shooting victims. I have children myself and it scares to me think that this is the world they're growing up in. Did events like this ever happen in the 40's,50's,60's? When did this horrific trend start? Apparently this was the deadliest mass shooting in US history to date until the next copycat tries to out do this event, it just makes me sick to think of it and I c

since we're on the topic of guns, why is it so easy to procure a firearm? It's an interesting debate to be sure and I would like to hear more opinions on this issue. It would seem that crimes of this nature are increasing in frequency, and yet there are no apparent restrictions on the purchase of these items. Yes I've heard of the common remark that guns don't kill people, people kill people. We're ultimately responsible for our own actions but being part of the human race would make us u

my sincerest condolences to all the families affected by this tragedy, why is it that these types of events seem to be increasing in frequency & devastation? I wonder what can be done to prevent this type of horror from occurring again in the future?

maybe you could also give us a tutorial on the animations (like the file copying progress shown above), it's one thing I haven't learned how to do yet and your example above looks awesome! I use the following settings for my progress bar chunk: chunk gap is 0, chunk size is 1 Also the graphic I use for the progress bar chunk is the same size as the graphics used by the progress bar bkgrnd (horz & vert)

zubaz, it would seem to me that after sacrificing a few frogs, that you would have plenty of frog skin laying about, do we see a frog wb in your future? you're orange wallpaper is the inspiration for my orange colored wb coming soon, I never thought about doing an orange wb until I saw your wallpaper - that's where I got that skin idea from. As far as my other skin ideas, what vStyler s

I hear exactly what you're saying V, it would be nice if Windowblinds defaulted at least to the Windows XP Classic skin and it would be even nicer if you could download an update to a skin without having to delete the previous existing skin. Whenever I post an update to a skin I find myself having to include the comments "please delete the previous version before downloading & applying this update". If I didn't have so many substyles in a given skin it wouldn't be an issue, I would

- up here in the sometimes "great" white north (man it's april and it's still !@#$% cold - sorry I couldn't resist using the bad language) I recently heard that legislation may possibly be enacted that will make it illegal to smoke cigarettes or use cellphones while driving - the reason being that distractions while driving cause accidents/deaths/cost too much money, etc. Apparently people have noticed that there are lots of yahoo drivers out there that don't have great driving skills as it is,

Unfortunately I can say that I've never used it and I only vaguely remember seeing it in use on a business desktop during a business trip where I travelled out of country. Anyone know if OS/2 is available for download & use still? What was it's latest version until it was discontinued by IBM? What kind of hardware did it require to run? Did it support ethernet & token ring - it sounds very interesting! Also does anyone know if there are any decent full size screenshots of this os in act

I tested it and it works, my only problem is that I went from 0% to completed in a few seconds so I only saw the progress message in the middle of the screen for a brief moment and never saw a progress bar but I did get notification that my upload was successful.

- maybe it's your "security" software, uninstall it temporarily to see if that helps. Also you don't mention if you're receiving an error of some sort during bootup, just that it won't use the bootskin you've selected. Because of this I don't think this is related to any bios settings. Maybe you have antivirus/anti-malware software or anti-rootkit software that is perceiving the stardock bootskin prog as some form of malware and preventing it from running. Use the l

nuke Canada?! I live in Canada, don't nuke us!!! - we have plenty of reasons to be proud: universal healthcare, traffic lights & stops signs are only a suggestion, a govt whose main purpose is comic relief and don't forget maple syrup and the ever popular "eh?!" just to name a few reasons

vStyler, that name is already in use! - Just kidding LOL Frogboy, you're a bugger - I actually believed the whole thing until I read that last snippet of text that read "April Fools" I said to myself, geez, they want to all this trouble to improve the site appearance and now it's changing over to dev's website style. You got me, I'll admit it, that was a good joke!

c242 - you have great taste! - MetalX is awesome, I can't believe I didn't mention it. Greyhaze added tons of custom buttons to his wb's, something that isn't being done alot with most of the newer skins that have been released lately. He had buttons on the windowframes for activating winamp, opening up some custom wb menu for adding shortcuts, rollup/down window commands among many other features (shortcut to the desktop, etc.) His stuff is great, I'd love to see it u

how about all of the "dinks" versions by greyhaze, he created those wb's years ago and the overall design & the gui elements he created for those themes are still comparable/if not even better than alot of the wb's being released nowadays. Unfortunately if you try to apply them in a winxp environment you end up getting alot of system errors, they were probably created for early versions of wb (v3 or 4) for a win3x/win9x environment. I'd love to see him to update those wb's and make them work
