It's not the Ati Control Center, it's Ati Tray Tools. ^^ By the way... it worked! Thank you hyphonz for the tip.
So, you solved the issue just closing ATT, without uninstalling? This will be the first thing I'll do when I get home after work this evening. ^^ Finger crossed.
You can add me to the list of people having the same problem. ^^" My report thread is here: https://forums.elementalgame.com/391571 I tried all that too, with no discernible effects.
Same exact problem here. Just a black screen and an error message...
Well... The game updated itself today. Now, when I try launching it, a windows appears with three options (Play, Update, Manual). Too bad that if I click on Play the games behaves exactly like yesterday. ;__;
Ops, I didn't notice the date of the file either. Unfortunately it's the only .zip file, yes. There are several other Elemental1_00-2010-08-23T22--.dmp files, but they are all 0KB in size.
Yes, there's a Elemental0_264-2010-01-16T22-57-06-585.zip file. Is this the right one? I didn't notice it because for some reason I thought I should be looking into the /data subfolder. ^^" By the way, I upped it on Dropbox , the link is the following: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9830242/Elemental0_264-2010-01-16T22-57-06-585.zip
Well, this is a pretty straightforward problem: if I try starting Elemental (from the Impulse entry or directly from the .exe file, it's just the same), all I get is a black screen, and after a couple seconds an error message from Windows ("Elemental: War of Magic has stopped working"). Then I'm back at my desktop, feeling pretty sad. The link to my debug.err file, posted on pastebin, is the following: http://pastebin.ca/1923611 I'm on Windows 7 32
