Hi RobJK, It sounds like you are right clicking on a Stop button? If you have a stop button covering your whole skin, or you are right clicking a Stop button then you will see this menu. If you right click on something else you should see the System menu. Cliff :)

Final days, quick get those submissions in! Cliff :)
(If this is in the wrong place, please move it!) Hi all, I just wanted to let you know that myself and Skin Consortium are running a Xion Skinning Competition. Prize pool is $400 and is allocated as follows: 1st Prize $250 2nd Prize $100 3rd Prize $50 <
Xion 1.0 build 100 has been released. You can download it from the Xion Download page There are quite a chunk of changes since the last release about a month ago. There are also a couple of new features for skinners to use, such as: action_anim_reset action_object_trigger trans_volumeb trans_volumem and trans_volumet triggeron_songchange balance_left/balance_right progres
Finally remembered to upgrade. Everything seems great.
Yes, I plan to do something about that as soon. Update Notification here we come ;) Cliff :)
Not working with My G15.
Hmm, have you installed the drivers for it?
Cliff, I like the three screens. The vis (3rd page) is cool, but I like the 2nd page (l/r speaker vol) better. Personal preference is all.As for other media players having three pages.... I have WMP and Creative installed and neither one of those have three pages.Very cool update to a very cool media player. Keep up the awesome work!
Thanks! Glad to hear it, I wasn't sure
How are all you G15 users finding the 3 modes of display? Are you happy with the variations in the screens, including the visualization on the last page? Have other media players done that for the G15 too? Cliff :)
hmmm... I've never had this problem. it ususally uses like 2-3 % of my CPU
With build 94, that should hopefully be 0% :) Cliff :)
I'm of course digging up an old thread here, but I've just released build 94, which has large improvements to the rendering code. I'd be interested to know with this new build, if you're still having the same problems. It's been a while since the last Public Release, but I hope you'll be impressed! Xion Audio Player 1.0.94 has been released! This is a major release with many fixes, changes and optimizations. Less CPU usage, more power to skinners and greater stability for expansion with plugins. Some of the Highlights include: Added support for Bass/Mid/Treble vumeters and animation types Added the ability for Animation layer sets to be activated by indi_play, etc and other indicators Major Optimizations to the skin rendering engine to improve sp
Chasbo, what about foobar and itunes make them better media players than Xion? I'd be interested to hear so that I can perhaps add the missing features to Xion Cliff
Possibly even utilizing the video plugins built for winamp would be good...i would like to see Xion become my one stop media player. with no need for the bloated WMP..
I looked into Video. The major problem with doing it similar to winamp is that you end up just using the WMP plugin system anyway. So you get nice slow starts, bloat and other stuff. I wanted to keep Xion to a pure audio player, hence the title, Xion Audio Player <img src="smiles/Smile.gif" border=
It's back to itunes and foobar for me because they are much better music players in my opinion.
What features do these players have that you think Xion is missing? For that matter what features do you think Xion is missing in general? I'm currently in the middle of reworking some of the skin engine code in preparation for hardware acceleration and plan to add more features to the library and playlist. Is there anything in particular that you all
What about if I use CorelDraw? I'd love to start skinning this thing, but I don't know where to start. Sure, as long as it can save as PSD then no worries I don't know as I don't have a copy of CorelDraw, but if that's what you use, I'm sure you can check if you can save to PSD <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Smile.gif" border=0 align="absmiddle"
The only drawback to the "ease" of skinning Xion, is that I don't use Photoshop.... so for me it's not easy. Actually you have a couple of different choices when it comes to creating PSD files: * Adobe Photoshop * Paint.Net ( PSD Plugin available here )
I have tried using Xion but just seems to be using too much CPU, I cannot do anything else while I have it running. It shows 95-97% as opposed to winamp 12-15% and foobar 6-10%. Oh well, I'll just stick with winamp and foobar. Id rather my music player be useable than skinnable. What sort of speed PC are you using? Which version of Windows do you have installed? If you could give me some more information, that would be great! T
And, while Xion accepts .PSD files straight as skins, here at WinCustomize you'll need to zip them up first before submitting them. Xion actually supports .PSD, .ZIP, and its own format, .XSF. It would be preferable if you could upload as .XSF as that way when you launch the .XSF and its not in the Xion directory, it will ask you if you want to install it. .XSF is simply a .ZIP file, which has its extension changed to .XSF <img src="htt
Hi everyone! I'm glad you are all enjoying my player and skin system! Cliff, Is there anywhere that I can purchase a Pro version of Xion, or at least donate to it's development in some way? Thank you! I am thrilled to hear that you would like to send a donation. You can do so on my <a href="http://www.r2.com.au/page.php?page=10"
its a bit buggy but otherwise its pretty coo! If you find any bugs, could you let me know by posting in the official forum I hope to keep on improving Xion in the future and with your feedback I will be able to do just that. Cliff <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Smile
Hi FordGT, Another issue for me is that when you display the Xion player itself, everything else in teh background freezes and you can't control any of it unless you minimize the Xion player Which version of Windows are you using? Did you see my response to your forum post on the Xion forums? Cliff <img src="http://imag
Hi BoXXi, Yes you can send them to me using the Contact page . Just choose 'Skin Submission' from the drop down box and attach your skin file. Thanks for the great feedback on the skinning system No it hasn't been used in any other applications. Yes, I developed it from scratch for use with Xion. To figure out the PSD file form
Hi all! Sorry that some of you are experiencing problems downloading a running Xion Audio Player, hopefully I can help you out. It shouldn't matter which browser you use, in fact I use FireFox all the time and not IE and the link seems to be working fine. It's possible that the server is under a bit of pressure with all of the recent downloads so it might be worthwhile hitting download again. As for the crashes, I'm not sure what would be causing this. It is possible t
Hi all, I've had only one proposal so far, so please if you are interested use http://xion.r2.com.au/index.php?page=contact to get in contact with me to register your interest and/or to send me a proposal. I'm looking for a number of skins to choose from. It doesn't have to be a 100% complete skin, even just a mockup is fine, at this stage I am trying to get an idea of styles that artists can come up with. I hope to make a decision on an artist on the weekend. <br/
Did that version support nested layer groups? No, I believe nested layers were added in CS1 or CS2, however a friend has been able to create skins in CS1/2. The file format should be the same, you just might not see any layers which are nested under another layer group. Cliff.
