I can assure you, I've been in contact with GPG on a daily basis, even on weekends, on these very concerns. It's probably worth its own blog but a lot of people don't realize that Stardock's business model is atypical in the game industry. Ironclad, the developer of Sins of a Solar Empire, shares our view. That view being that games can generate revenue in the long-term. Galactic Civilizations II, released 3 years a
In my opinion, you need to get a timetable down pat and get working on it quick. Frogboy, what you had wrote was definitely proomising, but you have to convince Chris Taylor and the folks over at GPG to get moving on Demigod.
Does anyone here not understand the concept of satire?
Just as a note: When an admin views a post it displays on our side whether the person has purchased/registered Demigod. If League of Legends is unstoppable then I would imagine its advocates wouldn't need to promote it in comments on the Demigod forums. Know what I mean, Somaz? I for one look forward to League of Legends. Incidentally, there is another Dota type game in development that looks very good too th
Guys- you say that people will be sick of playing the same old demigods on the same old maps, which may be true. However, you're missing out on what gives the game some real longevity besides plaayer advancement: welcome to an addiction called favor items. There are so many useful ones out there that you wish you could experiment with that it could keep you reeled in Demigod for a decent amount of time. The average Demigod player plays what, 2 to 4 games max per day? Let's assume he p

And RE: Starcraft 2; it has no specific demographic, nearly every gamer is going to try it out for a while. During the first few weeks after the SC2 release EVERY game is going to take a hit in player numbers. I don't think that many people will stick with SC2 as a long term game if they are into DG, since SC is more of a hectic paced clickfest, but theres no deny

Pantheon is in shambles, customs is a shambles, I mean i agree with all I LOVE THE GAME and will keep playing it, but this stuff has got to get fixed. I played a 2v1 today on the pantheon I mean come on!!!!! and the day before that I played a 3v2 and I had two AI teammates against 2 hum
September release. IGN has the date wrong. LoL developers confirmed that IGN is wrong. personally, I think Starcraft2's release in November or whenever will have a much bigger impact.
Starcraft 2 and Demigod exist to cater different demographics. I personally abhore the intense micromanagement that Starcraft requires. Either let me micromanage a single unit, as in Demigod,

On September, if you have not yet been informed, is the official launch date of what many consider Demigod's main competition in the strategy-action genre, League of Legends (yes, I'm aware its acronym is LOL). Some of us, from what I'm hearing round these forums, are just transiently playing Demigod to fill the void until the release date of League of Legends. I can see that many demigod players currently frustrated by issues with Pantheon, Sk

I'm not betting. I bet this game will go to the bargain bin within 1 year.

C rating from the good folks at 1UP: http://www.1up.com/do/reviewPage?cId=3173791 Interesting perspective on the rating, a "highly recommended" C game. Discuss.
They must release 4 free additional Demigods to brings the total up to 12. Also, battles should also not be "Dark vs. Light". With 12 Demigods and no side restrictions the possible combos rise exponentially, giving rise to deeper gameplay.
238! The forces of good valiantly struggle against the rising surge of the evil point-inflators.
If your system can only support AGP slot cards, then this should be your best budget option. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102814 This card should run this game fine. It's cheap, too.
Call demigods heroes. It's the easiest and best solution.
I vouch that multiplayer be dramatically enhanced in this game. Direct multiplayer will not work for GalCiv, as then each player would be forced to wait long periods of time before going again, due to the game's depth. If Stardock meddles with the depth of the game to increase multiplayer potential, then the fans of the game would protest since the game that they know and love would be devolved in something like the space age of Spore. The best solution to this problem is the expansio
One thing someone has to clear up with me - how does it take so much money to make a demigod? Shouldn't it take $0.00? Its the lead designer's job to provide the ideas for the hero, the artist's job to design his graphical features, the animator's job to animate his motions, so on so forth, so shouldn't the cost already be accounted for by the salaries of the employees?
I for one think that land battles should be more hands-on. Rolling the die and selecting whether or not to impale the planet with meteors (basically a % multiplier with a % detriment to planet quality and structures) is too old-school for me. I don't want something as detailed as, say, the Total War series, but at least let me control the battle more, rather than deciding the odds based upon luck.
man, this would be great news if I didn't suck at the game.
1.31 has good abundant settings, don't know why urs didn't have that.
