I have this same problem as well, I have tried numerous resolutions and many different set ups (graphic settings). I still get low fps above cities around 10-20. Windows Vista 32bit 4gbs ram nvidia 250GTS quad core processor as well

I enjoy using the assault rifle with subsonic rounds. You can just sit in one spot and get stealth kills from across the map! Don't even need to friggin use melee take downs.

I definitely like this idea. I also believe this is a entirely possible mod. For some reason I remember Brad stating that the game could basically be made into a entirely different game with the mod tools. So I again I like this Idea and this needs to be done!

Pink ponies versus bear mounts is already so close! :D Also in case you didn't notice, this map looks similar to Warcraft 3's map, and it also sort of looks like Diablo 3s new map. I don't really care.

I like the part were you mention people just turning their area into an island. That was my grand strategy dammit! My second best was to just make volcanoes everywhere and kill everyone off including me.
