It the link it said to use windows explorer to find GalCiv.exe, I know this sounds dumb but where is windows explorer, it sounds familiar but I can't remember it.

You know I just saved my first game on tough, I doing pretty good and my stratagey is the same that I always use, not enough time to really give you some tips but one tip I can give you that might help is on your next game select creativity ability, you'll see why it's usefull when you start researching weapons and defenses.

That would be a good idea for stardock to do but... having that happen on all your planets (espescpecialy if your going on gigantic with abundant) would be alot of micromanaging. Also I think that would be a thing the planatary government would take care of ( It would be like the president telling everyone exactaly to rebuild everytime a tornado strikes kansas).

Yeah but there's no good in good(ain't that a bitch) when when your civilzation is falling around you because you have no economy, military, ect. All you get is other civilizations like you, wow, and only good civs would like you the evil ones just want to enslave you ( and with low quality planets, no money, and your civ hates you for being a pussy, it's relativly easy for them to do that).

I usually take around 5-10 years (sometimes even more than that) I like to have a game where by the end my empire is nearly perfected ( nearly all techs researched,massive fleets, ect), because if I don't I feel like i've wasted those many hours. I usually play with gigantic setting with everything abundant, and very fast research. Around 2-3 days in real time.

You know building a sphere to cover a star wouldn't even be possible and if it was it would do no good. A stars gravity is what keeps the orbiting planets from flying out into space, but the large mass of planets is all that keeps them from being sucked right into the sun, so how the hell are they gonna build something to cover a star, as long as it would take the star would destroy what little parts of the station that would be build, and they couldn't ever even get close to the star, there wou

Well blowing a planet to ashes isn't cheating, far from it, planetary invasion is way to easy just research up the invasion tree and you can easily conquer any planet but it's bbbbboooorrrriiinnnggg, that's why when I invade a planet I usually use mass drivers tactic and then once the colony's mine I use the "destroy colony" command in the details screen. And to balance it the enemy planet could have planetary turrets to shoot at the bombarding ship(s) so there could be a risk.

Well you shouldn't focus on one type of weapon or defense, that way you can be ready for what ships the enemy throws at you, it also goes the same with all tech, spread your research around the tech tree so you aren't falling behind, to help with that you should take the creativity ability bonus to research more than one tech at a time. You should never turn your homeworld into a manufacturing capital unless unless it has the random 700 or 300 bonus to it( but if you playing with stars, habitabl

Am I the only one one this site that doesn't watch the Sci Fi channel, and Mrkyp12345 when you talked about that Star Gate SG1 and you said if you havn't where have you been, well most people stay far away from that channel entirley, I hate how everyone on that channel has those dump costums, most people don't watch that channel you just spend too much time on this site.

I usually use beam weapons, and I only use huge or large rarely, I usually use tiny or small ships in large numbers, no huge ship no matter how advanced can stand against over a dozen fighters because they have to kill each one one at a time.
