Problem with trying to do it on one is size and neatness. Already learned the hard way when I typed it all out and lost it trying to cram it in a single post

Having just gotten into the beta on this last pass I have been playing catch up trying to understand the mechanics of the game. So to help me get up to speed faster I played a game out to turn 1251. All I did was research and build and compiled all the info i could on buildings and research. Hopefully this will help others also get up to speed and allow constructive feedback on the game mechanics, economy and research. Now everyone needs to understand obviously with th
An Idea that came to me today is a new forum category that is for players to anwser questions for the other players. The reason behid this is because after playing a good 20-30 games I just found out today that you can actual recruit champions when I was perusing the forums. Now I know the programers and coders are way to busy to anwser questions like that. So having a forum for us to ask the other beta testers questions like that would be an absolute god send.
Had a game where a couple of my quest locations popped up in the single small circles in the mountain range to the north of the starting point. They were unreachable and obviously with 2 of them filling my quest log and no way to dump them, pretty much made the game unplayable for testing purposes. Need to look at the pathing to quest objectives or have the game do a pathing check to the nodes before it places them. :-)
I would have to agree here. I have noticed quite a few building just don't seem to match their value to opportunity costs. Granted I am assuming most of these will be ironed out tweaked as the beta goes on. On the topic of long research times I did run into an interesting problem the other game, Housing tech upgrades. While most of my games this was no problem this particular game I just couldn't get advanced housing to pop up everytime Civ research completed. endud up wasti
Researched Recruitment a couple times in different games to try it out. didn't seem to do anything. So I assumed (obviously wrongly) that it wasn't implememnted yet. But since it seems that it is then I would have to agree with the OP since new players may not even know about recruiting and would miss it like I did. Does this mean dungeons are in the game also andI still haven't figured them out?
Granted still doesn't negate the logic of every city having a standard defensive militia. I mean one of the frustrating parts of most TBS is garrisoning and geting caught with your pants down buy some one that slips through and takes an undefended city. Which while it does add to the tactical aspect of the game is lets face it really unbeleivable. And while I really dislike the "Beleivability" arguement when it comes to games. In this case I think some kind of standard city defen
I have never seen that button pop up. Granted mabey because the highest my Charisma has even been is 11.
I would have to concur here. Mabey a seperate point total for equiptment would be a good start. It still wouldn't allow for stats when you have no weapon or armor. But it would help with frustration of having no attack or defence. On further reflection if you still want to tie beggining equiptment into the overall points. You could put 3 levels of equiptment package on the talents screen Poor: 0 points, You get 5 points worth of Equiptment. Average: 5 point
Is it even possible to recruit at the moment. I didn't think it was, that and dungeons are inaccesiable I beleive. Figure that those will get added in a leter stage of Beta. Though if you can Recruit or Dungeon Delve will someone please let me know how lol.
Just got done playing a game and one thing that struck me as really odd is how quickly you can wipe out the computer. I literaly destroyed two soveriengs entire empires with my sovereign and 3 soilders. Granted the 3 soldiers weren't peasants. They were slightly upgraded peasants. Sovereign had I think a 12 attack and 3 Def Soldier with a 11 Attack(Lifesap) and 3 Def 2x Soilder with 4 Attack (Iron Daggers) 1 Def (Soldier's Cloak) Now with these 4 units I c
Wow all of a sudden my masculinity is feeling threatened
Have to admit though, That is one impressive looking sovereign. Wonder if thats how Frogboy got his 60+ turn win :-p
Running into the same problem, also having problems getting units to leave the city if it is larger than their movement rate.
Right click the blue tab in the upper left corner and select "Show Pre-Release Versions"
For those of you like myself who were eagerly awaiting the opening of beta 1-Z it looks like it has opened. Just downloaded it and can start testing and all the other fun parts that go with beta. And to save time with questions. Open your impulse account Go to My Games and it should be listed (if it is not right click the blue tab in the upper left corner and click "Show Pre-Release") Then right click the game and select download and archive.
Next week?
God that brings back memroies of a simpler time when I didn't have to worry about rent or children or all the other silliness in life.
Actually I am curious. Never written a mod before but the outlook of this game is making me very interested in trying my hand at it. So out of curiosity where would I need to look/research/study to get my feet wet at modding?
Whip those damn accountants back to their cubicles!!!! *sniffle* only checked my e-mail about a bajillion times today. Now read it as tommorow. Well hopefully it will be tommorow otherwise I might have to induce a self coma so the wait doesn't kill my inbox button.
