I feel pretty disappointed with him selling Impulse off, not necessarily because of any lack of trust for Gamestop, I feel neutral concerning them, I liked the fact an independent game company owned an independent digital distribution company. Valve/Steam - Impulse/Stardock. After surfing about this business transaction, a lot of people are "Oh no, I'm sticking to Steamzzz111!" I have an understanding why, considering Gamestop barely sells PC games in most of their store

I gotta say, I've always been bewildered positively about how open you are when it comes to game development. It always makes me wonder why so many other companies aren't the same. The complete opposite in fact, is Blizzard Entertainment when it comes to forum policing, engaging with the community personally and concerning the Frank Pearce interview involving chat rooms and whatnot. Such a fresh take to come to this website and read all the conversations and Journals. I just h

I don't think you really have a bias, this is the beginning of this series and I think you should go all-out on the lore. I don't necessarily care where you go with the art department, but, I'd like to see you do as good a job on unique races as you did in the GalCiv series. I feel the issue you have here is: What is the point of introducing more than two races? I feel you can add more substance to races by introducing some sort of system that touches all aspects of the game like Mora
In my opinion, we should just calm down and try to suggest options instead of throwing out allegations of Stardock trying to cut all the races. The way I read the OP, is that Stardock could focus their efforts in other places instead of making up more unique races. Instead giving the player more tools to use in creating a race (including art assets I would imagine). If 8 out of 10 players aren't even

If there is any idea and mentality in the Stardock offices concerning efficiency in focusing on things felt important and necessary, than I understand completely from your Independent perspective. However, I feel you are combining this "content-focus" with "game-lore design" for lack of better words, mentality to much together. Furthermore, I understand and love the faith in suggesting the modding community to come will up take the reins to create content, yet, imagine if the developers of Ag

I had only one CTD, but after that, I played through an entire game and messing around, kept pressing the Turn button past turn 300. I think it's ready to proceed, y'all did much in this current build. Besides, implementing Multiplayer next would be useful in revealing more errors between several players... Any chance of a new map though?

When I press to go to my desktop to do something else, and I come back into the game, half the map usually the second bottom-left halve has this black shroud over it. It should be re-creatable by just minimizing the game and going back into it. After I pass the turn it goes away.

I'm really liking how this game is going so far, except for the combat system. If you remove any unique distinctions spread amongst several damage types, than it becomes even more bland and simplified. I would love if you could explain why you broken it down to simply one magic type. Like someone mentioned in an earlier Journal or something, in Master of Magic, every magic tree wasn't the same. One focused on primarily summoning, Chaos was primarily the greatest damage dealing one, ce

I am as well strongly against unlockable skills or anything in particular that has an effect in the game. I don't see how it is beneficial to what can be an extremely competitive 4X game. Starcraft 2 is only going to dabble into some sort of RPG element for the sake of enhancing their single player mode but that doesn't mean so should Stardock in my personal opinion either. As an example, if I was a lot better than this longer playing player, I wouldn't like to see him be able to start or eve

Well there isn't a lot of information out regarding the game, or probably isn't that many ideas implemented yet, the latter seems more truer. Well we can also use Essence to recruit Dragons once we complete their quest, or, it is the requirement of the quest that we pay them 10 Essence points if I'm correct. I remember reading that from a recent Journal. I'm not a beta tester either. Well Raven X, cities generate Influence which changes the landscape to that civilizations alig
If this path were followed, I would suggest the following adjustment: When a new metal/use/technology is discovered, please don't automatically reveal the sources on the map. If one of the sources happens to be in one of your existing mines, sure...your miners will recognize it. On the other hand, if you have recently discovered a use for that dark red rock that you used to think was just a rock, you need to re-explore your ki

Although this game is still in its early stages of development and I presume there is still more information to be released, I have only noticed there is but one metal, being Iron. As we all know and have experienced, other 4X games have made very depth resources to which we can mine and eventually improve the strength of our weapons and armors with. Thus, I don't see any other reason why we can't do it for Elemental War of Magic but implement in such a fashion it is interesting and isn't ove
