so let me get this straight: I will get this expansion through steam for free because I pre-ordered FE. I get that part. The part I do not get is that I got FE direct from Stardock so if the game says on the store page, "This requires the base, Fallen Enchantress bought from Steam" I will get a Steam key for FE as well?
Well, IF you purchased through steam, the map pack is available for download in Steam. So I would go right to steam and purchase it. Did you register your key with Stardock?
it's up because I am downloading the 3.5 GB installer @2.7 MB/s. If so many others were not downloading, I could be maxing my download speed of ~3 MB/s (kidding but I expect it to slow down). As of 1:05 PM EST the installer is live

actually I just downloaded Fallen Enchantress-0.950_update.exe at 1:10 PM eastern time. AKA update is out (343 MB FYI)
note: if the game freezes, there WILL be a debug.err but it won't be in a .zip file. I have had this happen when the game entered a hang state (not due to memory)
funny thing is I didn't have a crash (Vista 64-bit). I also didn't crash when I played SOTS II inital builds offerred to customers (much)
While plaing this game, I have had the air elemental cast this spell (no spell animation for it also) and be inactive for a couple seconds afterward. My army (a militia, a hero, and my sov) have been unable to move at all for several turns. Is this normal behavior for a air elemental or a bug in the code. Also, Summer 173 A.C. memory usage is 1,054,500 K and commit is 1,115,264 K

obviously going to say it's a heat problem causing the reboots just based on the fan fact. There may be possible hardware damage due to the heat. Try running a temperature monitor app and seeing what the temps are at.
if in the orginal beta: I'd start looking sometime around 11 AM EST Monday for e-mails and keep looking through the day/week. Those not in the beta will want to start looking on the 23rd (I think) at the same time for a e-mail. This is my own opinion however and Stardock HAS been known to release patches and stuff on Thursdays so the e-mail may come on a Thursday
I was fortunate enough to have parental controls used on me and my brother. They worked supsingly well with WEB SITES & set time paramaters but DID NOT WORK WITH STEAM AND ONLINE GAMING!. I think Net Nanny or something like it was used. I actually have the same problem at my house. My configuration is: wired/wireless router hooked into Vonage box hooked intoo router. The router will randomly (sometimes a hour or 2 after resetting it) drop ALL internet connection that are wireless. There is no dice in trying to hook the router into the modem (doesn't work at all). funny thing about Gamestop and Best Buy in my area (Central NJ)- none of the stores within 10 miles of me have either the limited edition or regular in stock.
