I wouldn't knock Retail Outlets for their business model. Typically people are being self centered and short sighted when they bash Retail. Yes Retail has its issues and draw backs, BUT...their ONLY goal is to MAKE money. They do that by stocking items that are the most likly to generate MORE income than it costs to stock the shelves. While I can see that software sales really do not belong in the brick and mortar retail environment there are still PLENTY of

While I understand balancing is a key focus in a good game, I find it highly unrealistic to have ranged weapons being so underpowered at middle and high level of course this is FANTASY still it is inconsistent with the effects of the other weapons. A player/Champion should have ways of keeping his/her ranged weapon skills useful into the middle and late stages of the game. Bows and Cross Bows were game changing inventions in their time because they were deadly at a distanc

Thanks that helped a lot, Ive wasted a lot of effort improving the Accuracy and Dex of the Ranged Champions with no hope of really increasing the damage they do. Kinda makes ranged champions useless...just make them spell casters or melee I guess :P (at least until there is some balancing done on bows) I still think there should be a viable way to make bows deadly as swords.
Wow, hehe, good information but I guess I kinda missed the mark with my question a bit... [e digicons]:*[/e] I was looking for information on things like.....How do I get my Ranged Champions Damage up? How is ranged damage affected by strength, accuracy and dexterity? What differences are there from Accuracy and Dexterity? How do I increase my Magical damage (other than the obvious +50% spell damage perk) what good for example is spell mastery? And wha
Having a hard time determining how to advance my Champions, is there a document for the game yet? I need more details on all the options one is presented with on level up..
Perhaps the game should be about Ghandi- esque pacifists who never develop an offense or defense [e digicons][/e] Sorry that just popped into my head when I read the thread title :)
Yeah I know about Imbuing them, Its the first thing I do with them when I hire them.
This is a list of bugs I have run into, no crashing or freezing or anything like that just a list of some things I have noticed. Bug List: 1. Some times my Champions do not receive any tactical spells, even though I have picked the level up perks that should allow it. Seems to happen most when my champions are grouped together. Ill have the champion at Archmage level with no Tactical spells just melee attack options. 2. When in Tactical

I was never sure if I was playing properly, the monsters got pretty hard pretty quick and the only way I could survive was to not build fighting units just have a bunch of champions with me at all times. Now that I have so many trained champions I can build out military units and spread them out across the map... I was glad to see from the reply here, that keeping my champions together was a valid strategy :)
Yep Played the tutorial and it didn't really get into advancing your magic I do like the tutorials and hope they get expanded. For grins I started a new game, this time when I hired Champions, they had the tactical spells and when leveled up new ones showed up as well. Seems like my first game is hosed in a number of ways. I also lost the ability to have my explorers explore automatically and some buildings in my "Build List" could not be selected for building.
Perhaps Im not researching spells properly, Ive researched some of the "books" but perhaps Im not focused on the right things or I havent built the buildings.
For example. my Sovreign has Life Disciple and can cast heal as her only tactical spell in combat Bacco has Earth Disciple with no tactical spells... All of my Champions have access to the strategic spells that they can cast outside of combat but unless they have an item equipped that gives them some tactical spell/function my options in battle are limited to melee attacks or item use.
Yep, I imbued them all, but still no tactical spells, the only tactical spells I have come from an Item or the one healing spell I have from the Level up Perk "Healer", Other than that my mages are strictly melee fighters :( So of 5 champions I have one that can cast heal, and one that can cast blind. Not very much fun for the mages [e digicons]:'([/e]
Im fairly well into my first game, I have researched the first few levels on the magic tree and have invested points into each of my champions and in various Magic schools...but they never seem to learn new spells and I cannot find a way to set it up...Is this just part of the game that is not finished?
