Way to try and put words in my mouth I've never once said or implied I was out to win or lose by a huge margin. That was some asinine point you came up with to defend a failing position.... And no I called you an elitist because of your attitude....Your skill level in this game has no bearing at all on that. Go reread some of your posts....You might see what I'm talking about. Then again you have shown a knack for missing the obvious. My arguement about there being more "high
K cya. Also, winning isn't everything. In fact, I'm arguing AGAINST that. I would rather play decent opponents than blast through a bunch of noobs. I would rather lose to good opponents and have a good game. You would apparently rather slaughter your opposition or be slaughtered. But hey, w/e. Changing something about the game doesn't mean you have to change something to make it wo

Ahh I see you'd rather have nonsensical arguements. I suppose it beats having a real discussion especially when its a system that you don't want changed. Right? ...I mean I noticed you and your buddy were quick to hop in the topic and derail it from the start. And by the way "having fun" does not mean losing....It just doesnt HAVE to mean winning. Thats what you are failing to grasp.... But seriously just stop. You keep repeating the same thing over and over regardless of

We all do things that waste time...The thing is I can say it is what it is. You seem to be under the impression that your time on demigod is some serious matter and that if certain conditions are not met it was a waste....The only condition you should have is having fun. That was the point of comparing professional and casual gaming.... Though honestly all of this is detracting from the main point here which you touched on but then left. Though I must say you have me curious what is b

Now you are just grasping at straws with the whole "you can make money" stuff. Give it up...Unless you are playing the video game professionally it IS just a game. Since you are playing demigod you are not playing professionally, because as far as I know there is no professional league for it. And you try to make a point and then counter that point at the same time. Of course sleep is not wasted time as it is doing something...As you point out. Playing demigod does absolutely not

4Nana you are now comparing casual gaming with professional gaming. Lets be serious here...Theres not going to be any $87,000 tournaments in demigod...There is just not enough of a following. If this arguement was about allowing people into your professional competition team you might have a real point there... And by definition by playing this game you are wasting 15-45 minutes. Playing this game accomplishes absolutely nothing...So going down that road is sort of a dead end as well.

Well for some people losing in a video game is the end of the world. In most games these people don't really bother the community because theres such a large player base and they only make up a small percentage. The thing is this player base is pretty small and since the "must win" type tend to latch onto games the percentage of them in this game is pretty high. Its a common thing in such small communities, but they really should realize they are just making sure the game slowly dies. I

Yeah people first left due to bugs and crashes, but now its the community itself that is pushing newcomers away. I played in the beta and early days of release...I got fed up and left. Everytime I attempt to come back its completely dead or a kickfest. Its a shame too the concept for the game is rather good.... And by the way Kingbingo that's an asinine post. Trying to compare joining a casual video game to qualifications for a professional career. I can see you don't a

Eh I had the problem where I couldn't connect after build 3, but I finally got around to upgrading my 10+ year old cable modem and its all working now. I'd highly suggest that if your cable modem is that old to just upgrade it. I put mine off for far too long and it was just silly...Heck upgrading has more then doubled my internet speeds. Heck download speed on impulse used to be 500-800...i'm getting the new demigod patch right now at 1.5-1.8MB/s
I agree there need to be balancing issues for the melee demi's, but this was my first thought for oak...and besides, how is there no apparent downside in my idea for defensive mode? not doing as much dmg to an already weakend in dps oak would be a downside in itself...after they fix oak's current bug
What you seem to be missing is the fact that a good deal of oaks damage comes from his minions. Giving him a def

For the kind of bonus's mentioned here they would have to be some hefty disadvantages. Personally though I think the solution mentioned here, if you even want to call it that, are not the answer. You bring up a problem all melee demi's have vs this ranged character and has been brought up in a number of threads. I think Oak will get some love(and perhaps some downward tweaks with it) in a balancing pass...heck a lot of demis will. Right now there seem to be many useless trees in the

Perhaps I'm missing something angryzealot, but I have yet to see anything close to instakilling from reg. Most people just hang back and assist(killsteal) from fights going on. As I said I'm new and I tried all the dg's, but don't really care for reg. Though in almost every game I've played there has been at least one player who uses him. I seriously don't see the problem with reg though. Perhaps you can elaborate.. If you were to ask me though, as a new player, what I thought the big

Hmm I'm fairly new to this game and perhaps thats what is needed here is a fresh perspective. I make no claim that I know everything/anything about the game beyond what I have seen first hand. I mainly play unclean beast and I must say I have never found Reg to be any more than an annoyance. I have yet to do a 1 vs 1 setting, but I can't see that going too well for him. While his specials do have range they don't do as much damage as other demigods. If he tries to come in for some extra

I just joined the beta and I noticed when I make a passworded room to check out the heros people end up joining. It is EXTREMELY unlikely people are guessing the password as I randomly jam about 10-20 keys as my password.
