Well, found a bug dealing with the default Ranger class ship. When its discovered and the proper techs are researched, if you select a ship for construction, and deselect it, it continuously builds rangers, even though it doesn't show it. I think the ranger is sharing the Nothing option for contructing space ships. I have since re-created this twice in different games. I have the updated version installed.

If I'm not mistaken, in the first game you could allocate funds to espionage of the minor races. Also, you should be given the option to threaten the other civ's as well. I finally got it to play, and i would download Stardock, but the PC the game is on is not hooked up to the internet. Re-install did not correct problem. Once game tries to load following race and opponent selection the music loops and the game reboots entire PC. Unfortunately since i opened the box I can no longer take it back. Help!
Each time the game tries to load following the race selection the game crashes my computer forcing it to reboot. I have the Collectors Edition that I just bought last night. I'm running a Radeon 9200 SE video card, just updated both DirectX and video drivers to this years. OS is WinXP. I will try a reload of the game and see if that clears it up, but if not I am at a loss as to what to do.
