Yay the first beta update! [e digicons]\o/[/e] SD are really rolling out the updates at the moment - Sins is getting a huge balance one, there was a DG one recently...
astrath
It depends. They were hoping to do an update today but obviously that's been pushed back. There will be a major update next week anyway (Beta 1A)
I must admit it was a pretty high quality rant - it certainly got attention (we flagged it up on the IRC for the support people to look at, although they might have noticed it already). Do have pity on the support people though, they have to sort out lots of problems, especially with the beta just out, and they can't get it right every time.
Banned since as a moderator you should not be banning
The economy is not implemented yet
Whoa big rant.... I suspect that something got lost in translation with SD Support. Hmm....
Banned for upgrading your Leader MkI ship cless
I like the idea of shading the coastlines though, that would give a nice feel to it
I used to regularly crush the AI on challenging without a massive amount of micro. Then I got TotA and got smashed doing the same thing.
Quoting astrath, reply 2When was Brad in prison? That's when they made Entrepeunor. (Still cant spell)
Why was he in prison though?
When was Brad in prison? [e digicons]:omg:[/e]
For a moment I thought that said Korma party, and immediately started thinking of curries
banned for failing to hit double top
This probably needs something done to it, since opening to a blank tab isn't a good thing generally
Don't think this is fully implemented yet though.
I think 22 occurences of this is quite enough. It happens virtually every time you load a game.
I like the design, although Tourresh is right - it could do with touching up a bit IMO. There are problems with selection depending on the angle of the camera, this is nothing to do with the design of the mouse though.
People do need to remember that we are playing on what is effectively the zoomed out map. The 3-D map will most definitely have blue oceans
As for the overshoot, I don't think they have quite nailed that yet, but its more a 'not implemented' than a bug IMO.
I suppose it's what they expected - everyone was so excited with the beta that pretty much every bug to be found was found within a day or two.
GalCiv does moves at the end of turns. The trouble with the current system is that if you suddenly see something (like dangerous enemy movement) you can't move your units, because they've already moved.
It is a bit frustrating yes when as soon as you hit end turn both the target and your person moves
If they want to make it look like a real cloth map, that would be too bright a colour. Perhaps a dark blue tint, but it would be stupid to sacrifice the look of the cloth map with something that doesn't fit in at all.
ok ok I should have been more specific, but poor Kryo has so many bug reports to sift through he is getting a bit annoyed at all the duplicates
What do you mean? You could just hyperlink to pastebin in your reply.
