Hey, I've been having some issues getting mods running for Twilight. Nothing shows up in the "Mods" section of the game. I searched the forum, which suggested I created a "Mods" folder, which I promtly did. This didn't work however. Any ideas? I'm on Vista.
Ohalland
Just to start, I usually play against Bright, maybe with an odd intelligent thrown in. Back on DL, I was used to being way ahead of everyone else technologically, usually through tech trading. Now that tech trading is a lot harder if left lagging tech wise. Any general hints or strategies to up my research?
I love the features of DA almost entirely, save the planets which require certain techs to colonise. I was wandering wether there was a mod, option I've missed, or way of jiggling the files to turn these off, as I simply don't enjoy playing with them. Cheers.
They're a little bit like a sellable Galactic Wonder.
The writing is of a surprisingly good quality.
It'd be nice, as allies undermining you can be highly vexxing.
Agreed. Just make your own. They're much better suited to what you're currently facing.
Can not play the game? Seriously, that's a tad over reaction I think. It isn't even a bug.
Actually, it shouldn't kill you if you don't do as well. You just need a few select planets, a foundry world, for creating ships, a cash cow, and research center. With these you can begin to expand and conquer. Small empires don't always stay small. That said, remember you're small, don't go annoying the big boys untill you can handle it.
Wrong. It had a beginning, (the big bang) Actually, no, the Big bang simply explains how the Universe is now. All the big bang states is that a large amount of matter/all matter was in a tiny point, which then exploded outwards, it does not explain at all how the matter came into being. The big bang did not create matter, it just spread it abou
A lightyear is something like 600,000,000 miles.(Correct me if I'm wrong) Considering that this life may not even be in the same galaxy as us, I find it highly unlikely that it'd ever reach us, even if we did some how create "Light Speed Travel", which I understand is impossible.
Yes there is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Matter
Hardly a "huge omission"
Or, if that fails, bash them with pointed sticks.
Play with your nose.
Galtrek? No news on that front for a while now.
Why play on such a monster, Galciv is hardly an oil painting.
I usually referance various Science Fictions, fantasies and other genres, as well as some from our own history. I take the star trek convention of naming the first ship of a class by its class name. Also, I'll have some kind of acronym before each ships name depending on what kind of race I'm playing. Here's a few from my favourite game Galaxy Class: A referance to the Star Trek TNG class, it was my first ever ship. Name of indivdual ships include RSF(Republic Star Fleet) Galaxy
Adding the Vorlons, or Shadows for that matter, would be tricky, as they'd be at least dreadlord level compared to the other races.
Agreed on the invasion system, I'd prefer something closer to Rome: Total War, where you could massacre a planet if it was rebellious, but you'd loose the population. It just grates that even as a good civilization I'm forced into mass genocide just to take a planet. Hell, couldn't we just blockade the planet and starve them into surrendering.
You'd also need pine trees, lots of pine trees. Wouldn't be stargate without em.
....It's just a volcano. Nasty if you happen to live near it, but shouldn't have a mamoth effect. As far as I've read, it's not one of those "Super Volcanoes", so I wouldn't worry.
You finished the Sovereign? Brilliant. I'm not even a Trek fan and I'm loving these skins. Truly outstanding work, do you do this on your own or with a team?
Spectacular work, I can't wait to see the Sovereign class.
