besides from the beta versions the game rarely crashes on me. i HAD a 2.6G processor, 512 MB RAM with a geforce 4 4200 TI 128 videocard. game ran good on it. i upgraded my comp to 1.5G Ram and a geforce 6600 256 MB videocard. game runs even better now the big games with 300 planets now runs smoother, but it ran good before to.

hey psst, 1.3 is out due tommorrow. and indeed, max galaxy map should increase and max ammount of players in 1 game to, just to make 1 map takes like 20 hours or so to complete, a real story, something you have to play for weeks.

thanks for the answer. i have another question, in DA there will be 2 more races + you can create your own races and fight against them. what is the max oppononts i can fight in 1 level? also with the max size of a galaxy map increase over the original game?

i think its a bug, however why waste to much time on those minor races. though it can be annoying yes, i had a minor race who had its starport full with freighters, he never used them and he couldn't make other ships cause of this.

ok first, when i have the largest hull it has like 50 HP right? the last research it says the hitpoints will increase with 15, but even after that research its 50 still, i never increases. also one of the minor races in my last game build 10 freighters and never used them so his starport was full....mmm

well i always have high tax, and for me at 80% tax its kinda impossible to get over 30B, than people would hate me and start leaving. i had a planet that could have 100B population, so i crammed in another 30B to fasten everything up (10B were living there atm, turns were long since it was a big map so i didn't wanted to wait), but they all left pretty fast, i lost like 20-25B in a few turns.

your talking like galciv 2 was a terrible game full with bugs, thats not true. and the patches did more than just fixing bugs, much more. but i've seen the lists of what was added from 1.0x to 1.1 and 1.1 to 1.2, man i can't remember it all, it was to much.

After the 1.3 final has been released and you've played it a little bit, maybe its time to just play 1 game of GCII without any patches, see how much the game evolved over the last few months with the 1.1 - 1.3 patch. its a totally different game, the ammount of options have been doubled?, the IA is like 4 times as smart, the UI is way way better, the gameplay has been improved dramaticly. i think people who are used to 1.3 or even 1.2 now, play GCII without any patches and just see how much

What difficulty level are you playing on? Is it still easy to bribe them on the easy levels? i have now idea, pretty much all of my games have been on crippling, with the 1.3 beta its 1 level down. so i have no idea how it goes on easy levels. but still, the option now is just a waste of space on my harddrive lol <img src="http://images.stard

You're have to be kidding. You're saying that games like fable, San Andreas, Oblivion, any of the splinter cell or halo games didn't get you hooked?! Either you only like stategy games or PC's have very few great games. Speaking of awsome games Saints Row comes out the end of this month! fable i have seen but never played before, san a

i'd love if somebody could tell us what exactly the new levels do, specially the 2 new levels. does this mean 1 level now gets 150% bonus and the other 175% bonus, just to compensite the big gab in between 125% and 200% bonus ?

Ok, in 1.1 and the original game you could let another alliance/ally declare on another nation in order to defend you. this was way to easy since thye only wanted a few thousand bucks for it. but now its impossible. i wanted an ally to declare on a certain alliance, they were wary with that alliance i gave them: *18 planets *all my ships, i was #1 in army *around 500.000 bucks he didn't wanted to, this was just a test anyway right now this option is worthle

i'm just wondering, cause i kinda stopped playing cause of the memory leak. ofcourse i could go back to 1.2 and play but other than the memory bug i didn't find to much bugs into 1.3, atleast nothing that annoyed me. if stardock has the memory thing fixed already, why not release it today so more people can enjoy/test the beta. keep up the good work stardock, GCII has been one of the very few games in the last 5 years that really got me hooked.

i never really had to much memory problems with the previous builds, i was at 500 mb ram only for a good while. now i have 1.5G ram, i run the 1.3 beta test, largest map, most stars, most planets to live on and most star systems with 9 oppononts. the game did crash, well crash i couldn't go to the menu anymore or invade a planet. i had to save the game on my own every 20 minuts before i did another turn, sometimes restarting the game, load my game and continou, this is how i played
