It looks cool, I kind'a want to see it. I do agree though that the original didn't need to be redone - it was fine as is. They should remake the rest of 'em starting with #5, because those were shite.
I would like to see both factions and races fleshed out more. Races are more important than factions to me. I like genetic diversity, not boring humans with different sob stories.
Same here, fully fleshed out stock races & factions, and of course the ability for gamers to create their own. The casual gamer may like to create the race & faction he plays with, but probably won't want to have to create
Features are nice, but... I don't know about the rest of ya, but every creature I or my kid made with that thing came out so cartoony and not something I'd want in a game like E. But hey, features are good, would be cool to use if I actually did see a spore creature that 'did it' for me :)
I loved Shadow Magic, but it wasn't nearly as good as MoM. Random things on the map have no rhyme or reason to their placement, they are just thrown wherever. There's no immersion, either, imho. MoM had immersion, you had a distinct empire with boundaries. In SM, any unit from any faction can simply walk through your lands, there are no continents or ships, (I don't remember if you can build a ship or not, but there's no need to if you can.) I do like being
^^ Yeah, AoW2 got that one right, lots of races & unit mixing, crappy morale for units if they are mixed with races they hate, I can only imagine the pain it would be to run a dwarven city captured by goblins... If an evil faction can somehow harness the labor of the 'good' population through slavery & what not then that would be awesome. None beat the dwarves as slaves.... Please, devs, allow for unit mixing. Nothing's more annoying than cap
I know squat about programming; I'm more of a hardware techie. I did learn Basic as a teen though on a C64. I'm gonna want to learn Python now just so I can mess around with Elemental, see if I can pick programming back up again. :)
