First comment: It's WAY better now! About the AI: 1. It still remains very bad at defending itself - it does not react to armies that build up around it and sometimes leaves cities entirely undefended. 2. The Capitar often seem to be the strongest for some reason. 3. Tactic combat is stil way to easy as it will always march forward (even if being attacked) so that you can hang back and get the first attack. 3. Undefended Pioneers + adventures not being

I'm playing 1.08 and recently played a medium map on the hardest AI difficulty level (map on normal) and it is still passive and very slow in the build up (it doesnt seem be very good a building new cities unless a position is "ideal". It also tends to leave cities and sovereigns undefended and not build armies...
It'll be a great game when its finished. It seems quite stable now BUT: The AI is terrible. To the extent that you even obliterate it if you play "nice" and try an give it some space. No challenge what so ever. Imagine playing lego on your own. To be fair, there's dragons.
A not use magic or having the option of deciding the max number of magic points that can be use in auto resolve would be great and easy to implement. Anther question is whether to do it for all units in a battle or have the choice for every unit that can cast spells. The latter seeming best for having as much control as possible.
