First of all. Thank you for the (I was surprised) exclusively positive feedback ^.^ I didn't really have time to answer because of two exams yesterday and today, so sorry for the late answer >. I updated the main thread-post with two ideas from bluebogle and Demiansky (and one inspired by Cerevox), they are at the end of the lists and easy to find if you would like to read them. Please do not forget that these are lists of all things you could use moral

Hi, actually the idea of yours would be one of the possible effects, that a morale system could have. I wrote a thread about it yesterday: https://forums.elementalgame.com/375858 Do you mind if I take the idea of surrendering even before a battle as a possible effect of morale with you as the idea's credited ? Pretext: If a thread that is simliar to this one already exists I apologize for not finding it in the forums. I'd be thankful to be pointed at it Introduction: I create this thread in order to achieve two things: 1. I want to maximize the chance for morale mechanics to actually be implemented in the game. Therefore the first part of the thread will deal with

I don't have much time right now, but before I explain it in detail later I want to point out the major factors early: 1. Agreeing to most of my predecessors Morale should be a most basic value, that should change throughout a lot of the battle by many factors (experience of the unit, win/loss, difference in numbers, direct hits, a lot of magic, creatures that produce fear/terror, there is a lot of space.) The effects o

@oldfamiliarscene I got your mail and replied a few days ago. Still I didnt get another response from you. In case that you didnt get my first response at all, tell me so I can try to send it again. Since Malzeen has been recommended a few times already I think, that I will have a look at it too

I must say that I wonder about that a little. ASoIaF is by many people considered to be the best fantasy tale ever written. (Even Marion Zimmer Bradley agrees, and she writes herself ;) But I don't want to start an argument about that. I just propose to read it and then decide about this yourself. Even the Stardock-Team mentions GRRMs ASoIaF as a source of inspiration (Journal about dynasties, go look yourself). I suppose that the only reason why it is not as widely known as for example lotr,

@TheDude37 Yes, implementing various scenarios using the already done work would be an addition worth the time. But in order not only to get some of this done, but also to keep up the morale while developing we will stick to one scenario which probably will be starting where the books started. This is not final though, depends on how the team decides. Thanks for the link too, I used a wiki of fire and ice so far. Having more to rely on is always better. So far I didn't

DISCLAIMER: A warning to all those who didn't yet read the "A Song of Ice and Fire" novels. This thread will probably contain spoilers! Greetings everyone! As a predecessor mentioned in another thread before this one concerning a lotr-Mod, it may seem early to start a mod-project due to the game-engine and mechanics not being final and the exact moddability being unknown. <p
