I had the same issue except no zip in the programdata fodler.. I do have the debug.err though http://pastebin.com/sZWbAfmc Happened on the 2nd or third time i reloaded a campaign save

the problem with regen in tactical battles is you can always just fight minor mobs and run around the heal up much faster in 1 turn than you can on the strategic map.. any thoughts on that Derek?

I found the crash log and emailed it to stardock.. :D

I was designing a unit and when i hit save elemental process just vanished.. no crash log but i have debug.err here though it doesnt seem to say much at the end. I added various items and names, hit save and then it just vanished

Damn I just got an email about this from stardock and i thought I was being spammed!! At least from this thread I can tell it was a made by stardock itself so I'm not too fussed about it all but maybe the mass mail should be a bit more clear that it was developed by stardock and not just advertised by them as it appears to be from the email i received. Just my 2 cents.. (I dont have an xbox so cant try it out!)

Ah man i bought it on July 4 at $15 off.. its was for one day only so i was lucky.. but its a very deep game.. do recommend you learn the demo to begin with!

its pretty simple.. use ssd for you boot drive and programs.. hdd for large data and server for storage of movies/games/apps/music

Which Vertex are you referring to? 1 or 2.. U've had my 2 for 5 months with nary an issue and i use my laptop 14hrs/pay and its on 24/7 not had a single hiccup with it.. granted if your looking for extra performance you might want to look at the Max IOPs version which is a tad more for faster 4k speeds.. but I personally havent had an issue and I run one in my laptop, my brother runs one on his desktop and i wacked a 60gb one in my mums laptop. No issues as of yet.

The new vertex 3's are twice as fast if you have sata 3 ports!! But that being said i have a 120gb vertex 2 on my laptop and the speed boost is very noticeable.. after a while it seems normal but then go back to using a hdd and notice a big difference!!

Its the background image.. chrome (or rather webkit) has a bug related to it.. If you have the adblock plugin.. block the background image.. you should notice the site appear to run faster.. it is a very annoying bug.

I always play with the largest maps possible.. atm its 256x256 maps genned with cephalo's elementerra 2. you have to put up with a lot of oom's atm in the beta due to the large space required but I love epic games.. even if I never get round to running till the end.. once ive conquered the majority i tend to move on to the next game.

I 2nd Sycraft post.. It's not quite as clearly stated here http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2740308/why-2-gb-memory-limit-when-running-in-64-bit-windows but you can see that it may at least allow those of us with 64-bit systems to have the extra memory be used by elemental with a minimum of fuss (barring the pointer math code trick).

Hmm there's an unrelated bug i just noticed.. I like to open your maps in the cartographer and save them again to get the thumbnail picture going.. but every time I do that then exit and click new game the game crashes out.. Works fine once I reload so its only a minor irritation.

Love your work.. the 2 maps i genned 256x256 are awesome.. I checked 'Flatten Altitudes' since sometimes i like to play on cloth map but its seems that the 2nd world has no forests at all. Is that a bug related to flattening? Cheers Love your work!

Have you thought about using something along the lines of http://thrift.apache.org/ which allows you to bind several languages against a common API.. It is a great way t allow a diverse range of languages which I think would give it a broader appeal! I'd be happy with either LUA or Python, all languages are the mostly the same to learn anyway.. as long as c++ support is in there to get to the low level implementations. I'd really love

Only issue I ran into so far was a quest that spawned the darkling hut to kill was spawned on an impassable tile so i cant get to it to finish the quest :( Otherwise I'm loving the direction of this map script.. If only you could go all dwarf fortres and have it name the various areas spawned etc would to wonders for immersion!

Yay the options screen cloth mode bug is fixed!! Been dealing with that one since the first beta of the game!.. So happy
