Your knowledge of Legendary Heroes is real good I have to say. Didn't realize that overall its really not that many skills to exploit. I still think that out of all the things that have been fixed in a lot of patches that this fix would not be hard and should be addressed. Calling it a game design flaw may have been over the top but it still feels like something that can be exploited and can be fairly easily fixed.

A game like Elemental is based around strategy. There should be strengths and weaknesses in different areas of the game and combat is a part of the game. Using different strategies is part of success. If I see a creature roaming the lands that is immune to fire lets say and my hero's main weapon is an axe that does a substantial amount of fire damage. Well most likely I will use my head and switch to a maybe weaker weapon in my arsenal that doesn't do a
When using special abilities it seems that damage is converted to physical no matter what your weapon does. For example a spear may have stats of 18 lightning with only 2 physical attack- but when impale is used it ignores how much lightning damage your spear does and converts it to simply physical damage. There are a lot of skills and abilities that seem to do this- not just impale, but this is just an example. A lot of skills and abilities need to be fixed revolving around this. To so
there have been a lot of patches since I originally posted this back in may 2013, was just wondering if this has ever been changed or fixed in any of the patches?
Just like DsRaider said: sea travel, Dynasties, flying mounts, or a underground map.
thanks parrottmath i appreciate it
wonder if Stardock plans to fix this or leave it as is? Not trying to sound like a jerk but it kind of takes away a lot of the strategy part of combat when i can pretty much ignore resistances of monsters by using my special attacks of weapons like impale and cleave and others...
My air elemental fighting some air shrills: Noticed my air elemental spear mainly does lightning damage with just a little physical damage (like maybe 1-2 physical). Air shrills are immune to lightning so naturally when i hover over air shrill before i attack it shows that they are immune and i will do like 1-2 points of damage. When i selected impale because i wanted to hit a few air shrills lined up it then showed i would do like something from 25 to 35 points of damage (i for
Friendly units can now move through each other in tactical I have to be honest and say that i think this is a bad move. I love LH and i hope this doesn't make it cheesy. I can see some abuse with this mechanic. I hope they change their mind about putting this one in... It's bad enough that i&
Can it be beneficial to just give factions stuff to help your relation with them? I mean if i just give them like say 200 metal and 200 gold- will that actually help with the way that they view me?
some updated news on the Chaos Chronicles website... playable character races: Dwarf, Gnome, Elf, Human, Halfling, Half-Elf, Half-Orc character classes: Fighter, Cleric, Rogue, Barbarian, Wizard, Ranger, Paladin
That Lords of Xulima looks cool. Have 2 to look forward to now :)
I know its going to have quests and dialogue- the leveling of characters not sure how thats going to work but i can guess its going to be maybe something like D@D style leveling- they mentioned lots of times that they like the D@D system.
I recently found out about this game which is being made that looks like it is going to be a surprisingly good old school rpg. It's called Chaos Chronicles. It seems like it will be modeled after lots of good games like Pool of Radiance and Ultima. Trying to help spread the word cause this may be a diamond in the rough. http://store.steampowered.com/app/223120/
Was playing today and Gambler's Strike seems to be working fine- i did miss with it a few times. Glad to know that Double Strike isn't bugged, was just confused about the wording of it. Glad to know cooldown will be increased for it...
Oh ok i thought that may have been what was going on. Hopefully they fix the text of the abilites so it doesn't read that it gives negative accuracy
Been using Double Strike a lot lately and i have yet to miss with it which seems strange since it gives a -20 to accuracy (or is it -30). And also units with counterattack don't get to counterattack against it. There's also another skill (i forget the name of it) that does triple damage that i have yet to miss with also.
Fighting against Ophidian that has 100% magic resistance - is that for spells that are resistable? cause i can still hit him with some spells like shadowbolt
Confused about something with foreign relations. Was checking out foreign relations with other races and took a look at the Pariden relation with Yithril. For Paradin it showed they had a relation status of {close} to Yithril. Then when i pressed on Yithril and checked their relations status with Pariden it was {hostile}. This confuses me because i thought that the relation status would be the same between races- like when i am friendly with another race aren't they
I don't think Adventurer's Guild is working. I have had a champion (Leanna) statined in a city with Adventurer's Guild for at least 100 turns (at least) and she has not gained 1xp. She has stayed at 69 out of 74 xp forever. I i know there is a 25% chance per season of it happening but i would think that after over a hundred turns she would have gotten at least 1 xp. Another bug: Dragon's hurt themselves with their own breath weapon.</
Nope- my units weren't mounted.
I think these may be some bugs (1.01) 1. Was in city upgrade menu and had Guardian Statue as an option. Noticed that i didn't have enough crystal to build it so the build button was greyed out and could not select it. But when i double clicked on it in the menu it still put it in the build queue. It did deduct the 10 crystal needed and i was in the negative for crystal. (i was at like -8 crystal or something like that). Not totally sure if this is a bug. 2. In t
I hope so. If not, maybe in the expansion after Fallen Enchantress?
Seanw3- its not that i find the game unplayable, I actually haven't come across the game stopping bugs that lots have complained about. And i can actually overlook occasional crashes if the game is fun. Some of the mechanics just bother me... for instance, the way the turns play out- where i only move a tile or 2 each turn and every turn it seems like i am building something in my city. Too much city building for buildings that too me seem pointless (meaning maybe there should be less buildin
Very true Wayninja, you said it better than me and thats really more or less what i mean. Seems like Stardock tried to satisfy too many people instead of focusing more or their own formula for the game.
