Reply to Before installing Twilight of the Arnor Read This in Galactic Civilizations II Stardock Forums

The game itself is running fine with me. The only problem I am finding with it is that I do not have an inital menu screen. I mean the one that has "Play Game", "Switch Chapters" ect. When I start the Arnor game (select the program or the shortcut icon) It opens straight the second menu. "New Game, Load Game, ect ect" I noticed this only because I wanted to look at the new editors and apparently they are on the primary menu. Is there a chance I forgot to download something? Is i

He has a point. I don't bother with ships until late LATE into the game...but yes if you started a constructer as suggested and then waited on it, you could do wonders. I have a large economy and industrial capacity in my current Huge game. Lots of Starports...if it comes to it I can crank many ships out of mulitple locals and quickly mount a counter on my enemy.

It is untrue that there is NO way to avoid war. I have played games without going to war. A lot of it often also depends on the size of the galaxy and the set up of stars on the map. How much exploration and economy you have going from the start help as well. I tend to use a custom race that focuses on certain aspects, which may help or may not *shrug* However the fact that it IS possible aside. It is unlikely, and honestly a smart diplomatic mind knows who much military migh
