I have been playing GalCiv2 for a couple of months now, and being a MOO fan for years find this new "version" extremely fun and challenging. But I swear sometimes my hard drive makes so much noise during play I'm afraid it's going to explode. I have a fairly new Alienware system with 3.8 dual core CPU, 2 gb ram, Nvidia 7800. So I am quite surprised this game is taxing my drive so much. This is the only game that I noticed this problem and believe me I'm playing some pretty graphic and system hun

I have followed the wiki/ and all other procedures to all the game cheats but nothing has worked. Is there something simple I'm missing here? From the desktop launch icon I right click, get to properties and add the word cheat after the launch command line...with a space even! But nothing I've tried so far works. Has anybody had success with this? Yes I know I am a bad person for cheating but just want to experiment a little with diff techs and re
