The problem went away for me in the last update (804). I didn't see it listed as being fixed in the change log, but its working :)

I noticed now that the fog changes for game to game, sometimes its the rainbow effect and sometimes its just a heavy fog.

I'm having the same graphical glitch when coming back from the empire menu and returning to fog, except for me it happens EVERY TIME I go into the menu and return. The fog I encounter looks a little different then the posted screen shot, I tend to get vertical rainbow lines across the whole screen. The refer a Friend is giving me an error stating that it "can't connect to web server". I don't see a link to report problems on the Elemental Army page, so how do I get this to work? The email address is a gmail account btw.

(cant get old pic to work) My old speed from page 2 was: 0.29Mb/s_Download 0.12Mb/s_Upload The speed from my new ISP. It might not seem that fast but compared to what I had its amazing!

Just to echo what the other said, Civ4 is fantastic and so is the Beyond the Sword expansion. There is a new Civ4 complete edition that includes Civ4 with both expansion as well as Civ4 Colonization all with no DRM for around $40 which is a great deal.
