Ok Thanks for the support. I have been looking for a new game to fill in the void for my old school style. If the majority is turn based and I have an option to allow the game to resolve combat that would be fine. Thanks.

I pre-ordered based on what I read about turn-based strategy, if it is not I will be sorely disappointed. I do not like real time stuff, I find it a click fest and who ever clicks fastest wins. I may as well go play WoW then. Please tell me it is turn based. sincerely and old time gamer.

I think the original question has been answered...sort of, but I know what Psiborg means. The old table top games from avalon hill were all on hex. I didn't like when new D&D started using squares, but the games like Civ and others use squares. I like the hexs better but it may not be easier to program or line up things on a map. ahhh well, lets see Star Fleet Battles also had a hex, so I would love that instead but I am really just looking forward to a turn based fantasy game.</p

yes I pre-ordered, I love the turn based strategy games most of all, They seem to have fallen on the wayside the last half decade or so, I have played all the Civ's, played MOO 1, 2 & 3 (3 was not soo good). I really enjoyed Gal Civ2 and its expansions so I really hope this one delivers for the game play I prefer. I really don't care much for multi-player games as I don't often have that much time, I like to play a few turns and then save and come back later. Hopefully I can help out on t
