Groups, parties etc seem unbalanced . My preference would be to have them removed from the game entirely or to just have the size of a stack dictated by the quality of the equipment of the stack. That is, a lightly armed militia group would have 9 members but a fully armed squad with all the bells and whistles would have say 6 members. The game would decide this through an algorithm. Or... Allow the existing squads to upgrade to Companies etc. My preference though would be to

+1 It would feel more in line with the other uses if you must spend it to generate an effect. Aka: Give 50 Influence-Point to a faction – gain +x Relation for y turns…

Please consider to treat all men in a unit truly as singular entities, maybe this would allow finding an easier balance between champions and soldiers. Par example, a strong armoured Hero that fights against 15 Soldiers (3 units). Currently he doesn’t need support troops. With each hit he kills maybe 3-4 Soldiers and the fight is over in 4-5 rounds. Fast enough for your taste, but than again you just used one hero. If you want to counter said hero your sol

Overall, I like what’s in the game so far. I voted for Tactical Battles but only because I think changes in this part would need more man-hours than ever other part in that I’m missing something. - Some kind of line of sight mechanism. Hi Limit the hero units that can join together into an army. In the beginning just two heroes plus some mundane troops, if you want. Then, each tier of research in "hero-gathering-whatsoever" gives you not only more powerfull ones but also let an additional hero join an army(group).
