Several people have commented that one can simply destroy/crack any copy protection. This is true. Here's the thing: I'm lazy. I don't want to have to go through the process. And I don't want to be one of those lucky first-run users who gets the new copy-protection that wrecks my system, as the next generation of copy protection is produced. So... I will continue buying games from people who don't have copy-protection on them, like Stardock. I won't buy games from people who DO have copy-

I would argue that if a race had a different outlook than that of humans (say, a cybernetic collective) that 100% taxes wouldn't be unrealistic. The race gives each member what it needs, and each member gives everything it has to the betterment of the race. I don't think the Borg of Star Trek do much luxury spending. And the 125% miniaturization cap (which I was not previously aware of) is silly. At least cap it at the Yor tech + shrinker maximum of 140%. Even better would be around 250%, s
PLEASE don't do multiplayer. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't waste valuable development time on that. Make the races more individual/unique via game mechanics/unique technologies. I support the idea of races going for different planet types. That would rock. Optional symmetry breakers, like the Lithavore and Cybernetic options in MOO II. Darn the people crying "But there's a bigger chance a race would be broken." A) A broken race can be fixed. B) If you don't like playing the broken
Tactical combat is bad, mmmkay? I mean really, the weeks if not months of programming time spent on something like making tactical combat and an AI that players couldn't totally rape could be spent doing interesting things with say, every other facet of the game. AND tactical combat could make a long game about twice as long. AND I've noticed that the multiplayer crowd is also the crowd that wants tactical combat. SO... multiplayer tactical combat, eh? Yeah, let's completely change the game
I have zero interest in multiplayer. Take the number of hours required to play a game of GalCiv2. Multiply that by three or more. Then try and coordinate that much time with other people. Um, no. What I WOULD like to see (very very much and in this order) : 1. A map editor, for those of us who have zero coding ability. A comprehensive editor even, one that allows the non-coding public the ability to edit the tech tree, the races, the planet tile bonuses, the rules of
Actually, I've had the AI on Suicidal wipe me off the map with a rush of tiny ships (hundreds of them) without regard for the two fully developed military resources I had control of, or the medium sized battleship fleets I had patrolling all of my planets.
