Can't start the game in Bug Reports GalCiv2 Forums

I installed the game. Initially it said I need to update my graphics card (GEforce 2 mx) driver so I installed latest driver (Forceware) from NVIDIA site. The intro plays fine but after that it comes up with "encountered an error" message. I don't even get to see the main menu. Happens every time. I included the debug.err file. Any ideas anyone?
