LOL....okay, well....at least I'm not the only one. The GalCiv III news made me decide to dust this one off and give it one last try to see why everyone says FE:LH is so great. Put a bunch of hours in before the update, now the save game is unplayable, just like Stridefar 's and OP's. I, also, have never managed to finish a game - from the Alpha of WoM thorugh FE:LH. Sooooooooooooo....this is yet another freebie for those of us that pre-ordered WoM and we get a Steam key? For real? Daaaay-um.
Man, top-two, nothing - I still can't win a game on Novice. I was really, really hoping that when the release version was available with the tutorial, I'd figure out what the hell it was I was missing, or that the Beta was out of whack but...nope. Can't figure it. Dunno. Never one a game of WoM, now can't win FE.
I recall from one or two years old comments from Stardock FE will be free for those who bought it before 31/12/10 (I personally pre-ordered Elemental SE). Any news/ update on that? Rumors? Did not get anything like personal e-mail with words "pls use this promotion code to get your free copy of FE"
Check https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/p
Steam keys are not being given out and if you have a FE key already from your Stardock account that is what you have. It's the same game, the only difference is where you are downloading it from.
Man...that is really too bad, but what I expected. Those of us who have been in since the beginning with WoM didn't have the option of purchasing through Steam. Personally, I would have in a

The Political Machine 2012 coming out has caused me to come back to the forums again. I kinda feel like I'm calling an ex-girlfriend years after a messy breakup. WOM just crushed me after the beauty of GalCiv II. Like a lot in here, I rpe-ordered i
That could easily be the old, old pre-Impulse SDC, which you could still DL as of earlier this year.
That would do it.
Worst case scenario is that you'll just use our upcoming Stardock Central system to get your stuff....The ETA on that is in the next few weeks.
*Sprooooiiiiiing*
If Stardock makes its own direct system, it'll be something more like Get.Live.com where it's just a quickie manager.
When and if this is available, how will we be notified? Like some others have mentioned, I don't get to spend much time in the forums, and that's the only place we seem to find info - and at that, it's scattered. I've been trying t
Oh, Stardock, how do you keep doing this to me? After Demigod and Elemental, I had decided that I was done with pre-orders and would wait for reviews of any new games before I allowed myself to get excited. But now a new game is teased, and I'm getting excited again. Damnit. I think it's really cool that any of us that got on the WoM bandwagon early are getting this one for free. Hopefully, past mistakes will have been learned from and this game with be
Strangely enough, that's actually a pretty helpful answer. Basically, it's still not a finished game? (Oh the Gamer Bill of Rights irony...) I don't blame you for not wanting to be a bug hunter. Although not a hater per say, I'm certainly not a fanboy at this point. Oh well. Might just hang this one up and wait for GalCivIII. Thanks for the update.
Hey, all ...as I expected, Civ V ended up taking over my 4x life for the last several months and never went back to Elemental. Been getting the Facebook updates and everything, and I was thinking about giving it another chance. How have the updates been? Has the gameplay been improved to a playable state? Really hoping to tear into this one finally.
I wanted to make a new thread, since the title here wasn't saying much what this was about. Difficulty. Maybe you, OP, make a more clear title.
Well, you found it, as did others. So it all worked out in the end. Thanks for all the pointers, everyone. I think at this point, for me, I'm with others: I'm gonna put this game back into the oven until it's done. Brad linked a post on FB today saying t
Thank you for taking a minute to reply, dragoaskani. Unfortunately, those are all things I'm doing - well, except for the playing a female character and getting married right off the bat. Haven't tried that. (Also not sure what you're referring to when you say "Imbue" in this context, though I certainly recruit him.) But other than that, those are techs that I go for, and I also try to do the wandering skull-splitter routine with my hero..."try" being operative.&
I must be missing something. It's not that I haven't played games like this - I've been playing 4X games for over 20 years - and that's what is baffling me. I'm playing this game on the easiest level, and I'm getting my ass handed to me. Soundly and repeatedly. Pretty much from the get-go, I'm fighting an uphill battle, even when only against 2 other factions. If I turtle around just a few cities and try to build them up, the other factions expl

Wow...I sure am glad I wasn't the only one who couldn't figure out the farm thing. (Guess I shoulda played the beta more...)
Same issue for me on Beta 3C. Starting it from the Impulse launcher fails, but going to the .exe file works.

I was just coming in here to post more-or-less the same thing. I initiated auto-turn from the main menu, and then selected auto-explore right from the get go...with only one character built, zoom, it played itself.
The only thing missing from that slice of fried gold was a warning about being eaten by a grue.
Admittedly, this has been a long week and I might be missing something obvious - where's the DL option for this in Impulse? My serial is registered and listed in my records, but I can't seem to find an install option for it. {EDIT} Never mind...I didn't have have "Show Pre-Release" checked. Like I said, long week.
