Do you know that if you place a rally point on a starbase you can order newly built cobstructors to go to it automatically? When they arrive the module upgrade window pops up and its job done. Once you've upgraded that starbase to the level you want just move the rally point to the next starbase and all new constructors go there instead This is o

My major gripe with the current system is; I have maxed out say an econ starbase, I move the rally point the next base and so on . In the meantime I research new econ modules. The more recent econ starbases will get the benefit of the new techs, but the old ones have to be done. This can be a nightmare when you have multiple starbases. A starbase filter system, similar to the colony screen and a improved rally piont system would go a long way to relieving the t

I had the plague event in my recent game. I was being slaughtered by the Dregin, who declared war on every one (6 in all). They had thousands of free ships, but only seemed to attack me. I managed to research the plague cure in a few turns, but decided to keep it to my self. Every race suffered massive loss of population, and hence ecomony. But the Dregin still managed to stay in the game? Their income was about 350bc and outgoings exceeded 8000 bc, yet their econ nev

The thing I find annoying about the current system is when you find a foreign spy you have no idea who sent him. It would be nice if you could interogate them (jus before you execute them (evil) or let them go (no so evil). Then you could tell the offending opponent to prepare for war (strong military) or "please stop sending spies if you don`t mind" . This could lead to incorrect interrogation. You have been setup. You could pay antother civ to spy for you. etc. <

I had over 40 agents in one of my games. Medium map ,abundant planets and stars. My economy was well ahead of the other 6 opponents. My military was low, so I started to crank out defenders. That`s when they all (I asume all) started to plant spies. At first I could keep up, but after a while I had to reduce spending on spies (over 1000 bc). This had a knock on affect, I was soon crippled. I had to sell off my ships. On small maps you dont seem to get as many. Have

The current spy system is a micro managment nightmare (IMHO). First the problems; Even before I have trained a single spy, as long as I can see a foreign planet, I can see all of their planets. Click on the planet and click spy. After a while it doesn`t matter how much money you spend on epionage (2880 bc in one game), you cannot keep up with foreign spys. I know there will be further balancing. Every turn (6 apponents) I get 2-3 spy insertions .I manage 1 every 5

From what I have observed planets that require no improvement techs, can be colonised by all races. Any planet that requires e.g. toxic improvement is required by all races to colonise. I could be wrong. Also some planets can not be colonised no matter how much tech you research.
