Thanks for your spoiler-free help. Finished book 1.
Starcaster
by land and another by sea near the wall, I can't move ahead and finish it. I've encountered monsters on the plains but went after only the weakest ones. I've read that I can't warn Gilden I 've tried landing south of it or disable the caravan. I've docked my ship near the dark wall but no closer to the end. Please let me know what should I do, Thank you.
Bump, I have a similar problem but also can't warn Mankkin in Gilden. Keep landing on the beach and nothing happens. Thank you
Thank you very much for visual aid, kryo.
Until I've defeated demon hunter group and have to go back to Karindir to pick up the Dread Ni'r book. I went all over the map but can't advance in the campain. Please let me know how to pass Chapter 6 and go forward. Thank you.
Maybe they'll use the similar thing to your mod in a sequel that would allow it to be used in Metaverse games The mod is awesome though.
I like the idea. What also would be cool maybe for GCIII is have generate electronic trading card like thing with your designed ships to compare stats of different ships and could be downloaded to use the ship in your game. Each card could have all the techs required to unlock the ship. And then you could browse the ships that you've made or downloaded in the "ultimate star dock" or in the shipyard within the game. You could also have the best ships uploaded to the Metavers
Didn't think about that. The markets are already making money not just by sitting there. They are not only helping the world economy but also an interstellar economy. Maybe add an extra line to income on the economy screen for armchair accountants
It would be interesting if you could trade between the planets that both belong to your faction in the game. Then it could be a tough choice weather you commit to foreign trade or domestic. While domestic trade could be made more profitable but it won't have the positive diplomatic side-effects. In fact it could make other races upset that you are not trading with them. This could also be useful if the minor races are disabled and you are playing one on one. For balancing you could make tha
Thanks, I'll try it.
A lot of those really cool ship designs are probably using "jewelry" from the Collector's Edition of the game. I couldn't find many of those non-functioning components in the standard edition I have.
It would be a cool idea and then we could play other people's scenarios. I like what the modders been doing but wasn't willing to put in the time and not much ability for something like that. So it would be an easier way to make custom games without the greater flexibility of the mod.
Nice cliffhanger. What will the Altarians do next
Good job on the story. Keep it up, don't get discouraged.
I agree with this idea as it would make me want to use the starbases more. It's one of the reasons I don't bother with them except for mining and extending the range.
TBS Fantasy game would be great and to have nice diplomatic options in the fantasy setting. Like having a temporary alliance with orks. Or put spells on other leaders that would make them bend to your will. Could be great with Stardock touches that make GC stand out in 4x games area.
That would be nice since we can't change the course of ships once the turn ends. But they can make an exception to see the ship move if it's involved in a battle. Which would be good to make an option if you really don't care to see an AI ship taking out a frieighter.
All I know that I am looking forward to it It'll be interesting to find out who else will buy it in the expansion.
Hope it's not the Yor
The default year is 2225 for GC2 and 2178 for GC1. Just curious how long it took Drengin to dominate the whole galaxy after the Dread Lord War Seriously though, is the timeframe already pegged for the Dark Avatar campaign or is the story still up in the air? Also it would be cool if the campaign storyline reflected some the new features of the Dark Avatar, like the colonization tech that suddenly allo
If the tactical system in Sword of the Stars is strong, there may not be need for Galactic Civ to have tactical combat that I've voted for to be in the 3rd one. This way Stardock could concentrate on the new features that'll make the Gal Civ franchise unique from the predecessors and other games of this genre. One thing in SotS that is neat is the random tech tree. The tech that you liked in one game that is the AI-killer may not be available in the next game. The comic book arts
I wouldn't mind seeing that as a TV show. It'd be cool to see a "flying zoom in shot" of a race homeworld from far out in space to the the panoramic view of a civilization's capital like Drengin or Yor, though this would seem too expensive for a TV show but it still would be better as a TV series though.
How could I do music for the mod? I have an extensive collection of B5 music. Like when Gnn report comes on you could put ISN jingle to play, or if you start losing play requiem for the line theme. It would really set the atmosphere.
I wouldn't mind the spy action. It also would be great if spying could backfire. Like the race finding out about it, or the destabilized empire's enemy, with them out of the way, sort of, now would become yours since you can't destabilize all of the empires. It'd be nice to have different options of dealing with different races or trying to figure out who to destablize and who not to.
I guess it's on topic If we do get tactical combat in any incarnation of Galactic Civ it would be great if we could design ground combat units (Drengin shock troops could be even more shocking;)) , and have a ground combat viewer to watch planetary combat from different angles. It'd put Attack of clones massive battles to shame. I think those things may be doable for the sequel, to take advantage of the DirectX 10-compatible graphics. Though I really want tactical combat, I'd go for enhance
