VPU stops responding in Bug Reports GalCiv2 Forums

Just purchased the game and began playing - immidiately I was having a problem with my video card. The game would 'freeze' and stop responding, only to come back a few seconds later. I would be dumped to the desktop where the little ATI software suite told me the VPU had stopped responding. I have a 9600 pro with 128 megs of memory, AMD 64 3500, gig of RAM - havent had any similar problems with the machine. I downloaded the new drivers and turned off AA entirely, still the same pro
