I started a game as Magnar, named the world, and started the game. While the world was being created, I alt-tabbed out, and that back in in. My sovereign was there, but there were no icons, and no cloth map. The sovereign could move around and build cities, and the cities could construct buildings and units, but there was no map. I returned to the main menu and started another game, this time as Capitar, and the bug was reproduced, except this time the outlines

I got this when I was playing as Perriden. I played as Kraxis as well, and the same thing happened, except it was the right side that didn't work. It may be faction, or race, specific.

I'm having the same problem. How exactly did you get around it?

There still seem to be two different voices in this thread that haven't been reconciled by an official source. According to the Pre-Order page for the game, we will be charged and notified "when the product becomes available." By "product," is Stardock referring to the final release product, or the initial beta release? My understanding is that one pre-orders the game, plays the beta, and then finally pays for the game upon release. I don't expect to be able to cancel
