No offense, but if there were easy ways, why would anyone choose the 2 point trait? Just the fact that it's a 2 point trait should tell you that it's suppose to be valuable.

... and how does using blindness stalls dirge? (death magic?) Hell, I specifically mentioned that you'd be using either Dirge or Contagion when you don't need to blind (Contagion is my prefered spell due to its much lower mana cost). Still, Dirge and Contagion only really shines against mass of troops or if you have amass tons of death shards... and they aren't so great against particularly strong mobs. Dodge troops allows you to tank everything while you let those spells do their
Um... choosing? You can do this with very minimal effort. Hell, the majority of the dodge is right in the blood, you essentially start with it. Just what exactly are you stalling on? Blood + Lithe + Balance = 35 dodge, right at the beginning of the game. If you toss on Lucky, you have a 40+ dodge tank.
Well I kind of meant using both. That way, you heal some when you hit, and some when you kill (at least I think that's what the OP wants).
Assuming I understand you correctly: It's safe... but you probably want to keep a backup of the original file somewhere just in case you change your mind later (as well as a backup of the changed version to switch to when a patch occurs). Usually though, it's better to save the change as something else, then alter the artdef with a tiny mod to point it to the new art. This way, when a patch occurs, your work is saved and you don't have to redo it.
Hmmm... while the existing mechanics are indeed subpar for that purpose, I don't think it would be that hard to use MeleeAppliesSpell to do a self heal?
I don't think you're meant to just buy all your equips, that would make the adventuring part of the game seem rather meaningless. Hunting, selling loot, buying armor... to be honest, I think it's a pretty good balance atm.
If it was me, the tech for SOM should unlock a new spell book instead of the spell, one that you have to level up like other books (think of it as learning the ropes of ultima magic), but with a really high rarity (so that it always appears when you level). Then, once you get to say... the third tier of that book, you can then finally cast the final spell. That would at least require you to gain 3 levels after getting the book and choosing to devote yourself to researching that path. This wou
You do not have to build dodge troops to play resoln.
Perhaps not, but why would you expect people to do anything else when there's an "I WIN" button in their back pocket? That's the point. None of their other aspects is even remotely mentioned anymore after this change. Spiders? Summons? Who needs them if your enemies can't hit your BASIC troops. Hell, people are probably dumping all the other Resoln traits and pick
Weaponsmith is an upgraded Armorer. You need to build it in the same city you build the Armorer. (Just in case: Armorer is an upgrade of Blacksmith, which is an upgrade of Forge) In otherwords: to build a weaponsmith, you first need to build a Forge in a Fortress, then upgrade it to a Blacksmith, then upgrade that to an Armorer.
Hobble: One of combat skills for defenders.
I don't think you understand how dodge vs accuracy works. When you have 30+ dodge, and your opponent has 75 accuracy, they have at best a 45% chance to hit (accuracy - dodge = hit chance). They don't have 25% chance to miss, they have a 55% chance to miss. This, by the way, is without any dodge traits or accessories. If you add in Lithe, suddenly you have 40+ dodge, and your opponent is down to 35% chance to hit. Toss in Balance or god forbid, Acrobat, and it becomes a dodge tank.
No, and the ability also has a pretty long cool down. It generally only works on big & slow things.
Um no... you can have as many embassies as you make towns. You just don't want to choose the option to build it.
You will still have to cast Blind vs that 90%. You're describing a great tactic vs big solo monsters, but that tactic is valid with every race. Blind gives 50 dodge, wraiths trait only 20. If you can equip all your troops with shields and wargs and have a champ casting Blind on all opponents in every battle, I would say you have indeed won the game. Until that time, your opponents will miss ~25% of the time, while your troop
If you can gain influence for all those henchmens without picking heroic, then why in the world would anyone ever pick heroic? The choice is there, just like embassies, just because you don't want to choose it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
Its uses is indeed very limited, but you can use it on a jug and run around and kite him all day.
Pretty sure this is actually a bug, it's suppose to be the sound of a large group marching (hard to explain, but the sfx for it is very different if you look it up).
1. I believe what you observe as immobile units are actually ghost units (they died but haven't gotten clean up properly). 2. The AI sometimes clear lairs with normal units while their champions are assigned to doing something else. They have queued orders and don't seem to adjust all the time. So even if they are near a loot, they won't pick it up until they finish their queue of things to do. I'm not sure that making them grab everything is a good thing either, becau
Towns can also build embassies (lv4 level up bonus) that generates 1 influence per season.
Nothing can touch my resoln sovereign and I have not researched anything under military. But I am not really clear on how dodge has anything to do with this. My sovereign is holding a staff of souls, wearing adept robes and riding a horse (purchased from a neighbor). Then again, the Gilden sovereign that I defeated can also solo most most battles, including most cities, typically getting only slightly scratched in the pro
Some notes: Henchmens are heroes who don't split exp (they are treated like any other champions - custom equips, gains injuries, can't die). Scions are units who gains traits (they are treated like units - no custom equips, half exp, dies permanently). Scions also don't get access to henchmen specific traits (bard/customshieldwall). Dark Wizard's Cloak of Fear isn't an auto cast, it's just an ability he uses on his first turn. If
Yes, way too easy. Most people just avoid it, or turn it off entirely.
Um... maybe you should reread the description for Hobble... it REDUCES movement BY 1, not TO 1.
I think this is due to a new change where the AI values its exchanges based on how much it has. In this case, because you're trying to get all of its gold, so it's valuing it higher than normal. If the AI had a lot of gold, it would be willing to buy your resources in more reasonable exchange rates, but since it doesn't have much, the mechanic kicks in to prevent you from robbing it of the precious few it does have. I don't think it's a bug. They don't want you
