Unless there's a tech I don't know about, it seems that a Tower of Dominion can be built in every city in one of my later saves. This happened as I was going toward the Spell of Making victory. Any explanations for this?

On HOW to defend, there are abilities that put you into defense mode or others in defense mode. The easiest way is after making a move, using "PASS" at the end. You should see a shield come up over the unit that ended it's turn. It's now in Defense mode. Once you attack or use an ability that doesn't end your turn in defense mode, you leave defense mode.
Seems to have worked here... First victory via Spell of Making World settings - Quest Dense, Monster Normal, Magic Normal, Resource Heavy, Slightly accelerated research and production. Normal Difficulty. Hey I'm a newbie, gimme a break. Faction - Men, Lucky, Master Scout, Enchanters Sovereign - General, Tactician, Life I, Attuned, Procipinee's Crown, Dragonfly Bracers I got my first hero, an air hero and in an RP reason (Lady Lani wa
This may have been brought up before the beta came out, but creating custom factions is nice. Trying to delete them and then having them come back time and time again is rather annoying. Apparently the only way to have them stay gone currently, unless this has been changed is disabling Cloud Saving in Steam. A bit of a pain just to permanently delete a faction, but I can see the catch-22. There are people who will NOT want to lose their custom factions if the computer
Have to agree here. We should have a way of deleting custom factions permanently without having to disable cloud saving.

The city guide seems to work, but then the questions, and this may change I guess... When to build cheap/elite troops, henchmen (altar), build/tame creatures (resoln/beastlord), research lines. Number of cities, dependencies on specialty classes (assassin, defende
By the way I'm currently on LH Beta .80
From my short time playing I have the following general ideas: 1. Don't build near any large/legendary monsters such as Dragons or Elemental Princes. Clear them first once you're strong enough. 2. 4G/3P/2E seems to be the optimal starting city. In the majority of what I read, it seems towns are popular in being built first. I can understand about increased food production early so the Empire can build but when should you build other s
It was set for automatic updates, it just didn't update until I got home. That was rather easy... bit of a "D'OH!" moment for me.
I'll have to check that later on.
I tried a new game, and when I looked, there were none of the new starting sovereigns so I know it hasn't updated. Anything I can do to update this?
