I experienced the exact same problem too, but a reinstall solved everything for me. If you haven't tried that already I suggest you do that

Hi there, I cannot advance the campaign from the point where I have to warn the other kingdoms of the dragon and recieve help from them for the final battle, when I arrive to Gilden by ship no dialog pops up. My influence area for my second town next to Gilden has enveloped the Gilden town, I wonder if that has caused a problem.. If anyone can help with this problem I would appreciate it :)
