Well aren’t “We” a bit cynical
Yep. It is as I said both sides are very cynical. Anyway, GP just published an article on it. You can read it here . Bit-tech published an article here and there is
Things are going well with my PR campagin for PoP. It has been referenced on a couple sites like digg today and now Kotaku has an article here. I have also contacted a few media outlets and informed of the situation as well. I hope all goes well with those requests. Additionally Ubi things over two million sales is good and three million in the long tail is achievable. You can read the official comment
@Annatar - No doubt. [e digicons]|-)[/e] Shack also ran a story on PoP as well. You can read it here . I must say the user responses everywhere have been amazing. I was not aware that PoP was such an interesting title. Yet I find nothing interesting about it. I guess being a strategy game grognard has a price after all...
The easiest would be to just log on IRC and prod Yarlen/Zoomba
You do know I hate IRC -right? I'm a VoIP guy. [e digicons]:jafo:[/e] Well ARS followed up on my email with a story is here . The spin on it is most jaded and delicious methinks. The comments at going on four pages in a few token hours
Ok Dtoid has published a story on it and I expect to see many other media outlets doing the same soon given I sent out media releases to over two dozen of them on the topic - I hope others find it news worthy. You can read the story here . @IslandDog - working on it... [e digicons]:borg:[/e]
@CrazyC0330 - yes it would. Hell I assumed you guys already so such a thing. I'll comment to Razz next time I'm over in Ubi country. [e digicons]:jafo:[/e] @Heavenfall - some people are all ready reporting they have it and no DRM.
Sweet! I hope the sales rock that way there will be more proof beyond Sins that DRM hurts games. I noticed several people/sites jumped on the WoG being just as pirated as other titles with DRM. I think that had a lot to do with the fact it is a puzzle game and from an unknown studio to boot. So people were "testing things out" so to speak. This situation if it works out well will prove my point. After all Ubi is a major player in the industry and PoP is a major title with some history.
Aloha! I figured you guys should know about this given that Ubi will be the first major publisher to take such a "risk". The official comment is here . I would like to see this information get some serious news coverage and word-of-mouth support so gamers can vote with their wallets on the topic and put one more nail in the coffin of DRM.
I find the GamersGate software app to be clunky and pretty much awful, but I have to use it to get my Europa Universalis games Hoping one day they show up on Impulse...
I do as well. I have commented about it a couple times. I was told in due time... I would LOVE for GG and Impulse to merge. [e digicons]:borg:[/e]
D2D = Epic fail - this is especially so if one lives outside of ConUS. I highly recommend GamersGate (GG) instead of D2D as a secondary to Impulse.
This is SD breakout year and to be honest Impulse is not even six months old. Steam is how old? Moreover I doubt Valve will put their games on Impulse so why should SD put their titles on there. Additionally there is GamersGate and a host of other DD sites and several other publishers are also setting up their own systems. The DD wars have not even started yet in my opinion. Steam has not won by a long shot. Pioneering something does not mean you will win the game at it.
WoW! PM08 $4 dollars - stunning! [e digicons]:w00t:[/e]

I think it would be great for someone to make a combination matrix of all the different assumed schools and elements (hint, hint).
For what it is worth there is a Sins group on Steam. [e digicons]B)[/e]
I prefer the flat map but if SD decided to include a global view as a max zoom I would not complain. [e digicons]:frogboy:[/e]
As far as I know at the moment karma is simply a social perk of sorts. It is braggin' rights only for what its worth. [e digicons]:wc:[/e]
Some good stuff here. I would love for some input from SD on this idea as well as the others in the ideas forum. [e digicons]:moo:[/e]
Has anyone else sent in any nominations[e digicons]:maybe:[/e]
A bump for good measure. Get those emails sent! [e digicons][/e]
Yep I agree. A CoA generator would sort of be like a mini game of sorts. It would be nice to earn elements for a CoA while going through the game and be able to tie a lineage via an epic story generator to the CoA. Both features which I think are strongly supported would be truly something special for the game.
Mine are not so bad on my mothers side:
