@Star - yeah I would love a series on the adventures of G'Kar but that is likely not possible now due to death. I never really got into Lyta for some reason. Delenn was more my type (after the change) but I have to admit that I preferred Lochley since (she is my type) for late show character. My most favorite female character after Delenn, has to be Catherine Sakai but I digress... The takeover of the Vorlon HW would be something sweet to see if it was done correctly. I would also lik
Spartan
@Star - that would be fun nonetheless. [e digicons]:andrew:[/e] After all defeating them is not enough, we have to break them. [e digicons]:borg:[/e] In general for one would like to see the Drakh and the poising of earth resolved - Crusade focus or not. As a devoted fan there are many stories I would like to see followed up on.
Pretty cool. It sort of felt like a mini movie pimp.
Well there is still hope, Londo Mollari is still alive and kickin' or did Peter kick the bucket as well? After all the entire B5 story was really oriented around him.
I have to agree. When a governor names a little guy in the State-of-the-State address, it should send a clear message to the public and more importantly the business community, just where the State wants to focus its attention.
@Luck - OK here is some serious karma action for you, regarding WoW's history, take a gander at this . It will fill you in on all the little details.
You just know Bester and John will be there for it but the others - hmmm.... [e digicons]:\[/e]
Good stuff. This game is a true classic methinks. I cant wait for my son to be old enough to play it with me.
Quoting The_Regicide, reply 5Aren't there already five B5 movies? I think they are talking about a theatrical release, i.e. a cinema movie. big difference here.
That they are. [e digicons]:andrew:[/e]
That it is. [e digicons]:fuzzy:[/e]
No doubt. It always seemed like WB treated B5 as a bastard stepchild it liked to slap around. I never really understood why JMS simply did nto get the all the rights back and shop it around to other production houses.
@Dorian - Paradox is already on Impulse. I think if SD and PI form a very close alliance things will be good. There is also the relationship with GPG that is also coming into play. There are other things going on but the crux of it all is that I firmly believe Impulse will be a contender in the near future. I would also like to see GOG get into the mix as well.
Thanks I'll give it a shot. [e digicons]k1[/e] karma given!
@Excalpius - do you have a link for your switcher app? I'm always willing to try new things. [e digicons]:fuzzy:[/e]
The Frontline story is a very good report. I hope Mr. Obama has watched it recently. [e digicons]:fuzzy:[/e] @Jonann001 - Nice link. [e digicons]k1[/e] karma!
They should not be methinks. There are several weeks until the meeting yet.
OK. I submitted mine finally and submission number was pretty big. So who knows. [e digicons]X|[/e] The quick and dirty comment is as follows. Note: it is 4:30AM here and I worked a very time today so it is likely badly worded. DRM needs to be clearly outlawed. It steps all over the First-sale doctrine and acts as a big brother holding every customer -yes customer not consumer nor subscriber, hostage to the media companies whims and balance sheets. <b
Hmmm... I could not find anymore and ARS has even published a story that only 700 comments where posted. Strange...
upsetting the traditional balance between the interests of copyright owners and the interests of the public. No matter what you can say on this DRM vs. consumer rights issues, the cold fact is is that consumers broke the rules first. We had a nice set of rules: rights holders print some media, consumers who purchase that media within the legal provisions of Fair Use. Fair Use would be ripping your legally purchased and owned CD to your h
@Heavenfall - Thanks for your support! @Tamren - go for it. You can take the spin out of it if you want and or make it more "G" oriented. The goal is to spread the word to as many communities as possible. I dont care if I get credit for anything; I always stay behind the scenes anyway. The results are the only thing that matters to me.
Well folks the FTC will be holding a policy meeting focused on DRM at the University of Washington Law School in the William H. Gates Hall (what irony) and the public's opinion is solicited. The government needs to hear from us the unwashed masses that have been getting shit on for nearly a decade with
Well maybe there is hope in the war against DRM. The EFF has formally asked the FTC to outlaw DRM! DRM does not prevent piracy. At this point, DRM seems intended to accomplish a very different purpose: giving some industry leaders unprecedented power to influence the pace and nature of innovation and upsetting the traditional balance between the interests of copyright owners and the interests of the public. The best way to fi
Perhaps. But then it certainly doesn't hurt to have some gamers go over there and let 'em know about your desire to have it on Impulse as well.
Have no worries. I already pimp Impulse to other developers whos products that are worthy. Hell I like to think that in some small way I'm responsible for the PI titles on Impulse. After all I was pushing them on the forums and in private emails to join you guys before Impulse
Cool thanks for the info. I'll look into it. Maybe someone from SD sould contact them and try to set up a DD deal for them.
"Leashware" is what I call such applications and I'll never purchase any such titles and I would publically advocate people using cracked versions of those titles as well as hammering them and the publisher with scathing reviews wherever possible.
