Wrap it up with a awesome campaign creator & editor and Gods themselves will wail and howl in shock and awe! of course! If I were to create a good story-based map (I did in that HoMM all the time) I'd want to create dungeons. Linking those would be

Looking at things from a demand side of things with a focus on "simplicity", if an automated system is to be implemented and effective I would like to be able to select something to produce at a given city, from a list of options that I have the appropriate resources for within my empire and have the AI automatically deal with sending everything needed for that unit to the city. The list of course would change depending on tech and resources dynamically. Moreover I would also like an

@Luckmann - I would not sweat the control thing much. I would be willing to bet that if SD was going to fold, Frogboy would - at the very least - release server side software for the community and at best rework the game for p2p.
I used it for the beta but went back to Vista64 last month. I got the RC but have not had time to reinstall it all again. For what it is worth, I did not have many big issues during the beta trials. I can only assume it got better.
On a side note, a system something very much like Capitalism II has would really rock methinks. [e digicons]:fuzzy:[/e]
Dont forget slaves, beasts & salvage since you went the virgin route.
Looks like good stuff in the making! [e digicons]:andrew:[/e]

Story wise, I think following the SMAC style would be a good way to get the ball rolling.
I do have have one minor request to be considered related to the topic at hand, and it is for multipreference files. For example, so I can create a hardcore setting and a net based one and one for testing -etc...

I hate all none optional time based elements of any game as a matter of principle. I was considering getting title but now I wont. Thanks for the info.
Absolutely - case closed. [e digicons]:banhammer:[/e]
Lets not forget about the "time authority agency" that was active via ST:V. That came back 500 years to set the timeline right again. That sub arc really irked me. It was like the episode in B5 where they show the earth one million years in the future just before the sun goes poof. Yet there were Rangers there. Consequently one infers that all should be good in the universe.
@ID - Tom's has a related article here .
There is already a very long thread about it here .
No doubt. It has been some time and we have not got any feedback yet. Can someone at SD update us please?
To me the best DRM is pure community building and interactivity on the part of the devs with gamers/customers. In this area no one even comes close to SD. [e digicons]:frogboy:[/e]

But at the time he surely must have been trust worthy ( by Romulan standards) or he would not have been in command. Additionally one would think he wou
