I really hope they don't remove being able to play as all the races, that is one of the best features Warlock has. And diversity comes at a cost as races other than your main have stunted city growth. And the lack of depth or a tech tree for Warlock is one of the main attractions for me. A game that stays in the medieval technology era doesn't need one, IMHO. I do wish the AI was better at buffing and debuffing in Warlock, that is whe

Oh yea, it's a Diablo day today. Are there any other nerds out there that don't "get" all the Diablo love? I feel like I'm alone in this.
Except that AI Sovs tended to have about a dozen upgrades by level 4, including 3 or 4 "path of" upgrades, but then again I haven't played the latest patch much to see if they fixed that.
I'm pretty passionate about my opinion. Warlock is the best TBS game I have played since GalCiv2+.
I think the OP is making some valid points, but maybe didn't do so in the best way. I think the points he is trying to make are real, and valid complaits. But you should always avoid hyperbole and state facts clearly, otherwise people will get bogged down on the details and miss the point. I have made these kinds of points over and over for the last two years. I've barely touched the game in the last few months, I am ready to see the
Bottom line for me is, Warlock gameplay works from turn one
This is a line I couldn't agree more with.

Hex grid should have a plus next to it I hate how hex grid prevents your units from going through one another. I just think there must be a better way to solve the stack of doom issue. But there is no stack of doom problems in
That doesn't have anything to do with hexs or squares, I don't think. The worst example of something like this is in Elemental, that I have found. I have been pinned down by caravans and settlers before.
I found spells had an imediate impact, had casting times that prevented spam abuse, and had several different applications for strategy. And those spells that do similar things do so with different resistances which I find interesting and more strategic. The graphics are on par with every other game in the genre, they are all pretty much the same. I like them more than FE in some cases, and not so much in others. I think squares i
I want groups removed from the game. Make armies all one size.

We are still in Beta, the AI is kind of the last thing to be tweaked in a game. They get all the features in and then they program the AI to use them. Otherwise you would be spending a lot of time and resources on teaching the AI to play a game that maybe very different at release. This is as I understand it anyway, and I'm sure someone else can explain it much better.
It's a really good game, but it's pretty different from FE, I think. Warlock is a really good game, I can't stress that enough. But FE is a much, much deeper game. They are different enough that one doesn't replace another. Good time to be a fantasy 4x fan.
The more I play Warlock, the more I am in love with it. I had to force myself to remember that I am an adult with professional responsibilities and make myself go to bed last night. "Elegant" is a good word. It's so fun and smooth to play, and cities are so finely specialized. The different races are unique and balanced, and cities don't magically change from one race to another when conquered. Minor neutral cities, cities tha
"states" are more like little countries than provinces I think, that's why they are called states...but I might be wrong, I am a dipshit.
Ooh, this is fun.
It's crap.
Mount and Blade: Warband is one of my favorite game of all time. When I look at it on steam , it's funny to see the hundreds of hours I have played that game. It is fantastic.
I doubt I could even get to the other side of Kansas in 6 hours. I looked it up, my little state is twice the size of Denmark. It always amazes me how small Europe is.
It's a fun game, but it lacks a lot of the depth of FE. They are different enough where I really don't see me abandoning one for the other.
You are all making baby Jesus cry! Don't you care for your souls? They are going to burn in fiery darkness forever! Of course there is a God! How could you deny it? Here, I will speak in tongues and send you a message from God! "Abadudoody ma poody la kachooey"! Now do you believe? How could I know Angelese if God didn't teach me? *this was a recreation of a speech my grandmother gave to me almost 20 ye

This is one dandy of a topic.
Monsters should have AI that reflect what they are. Are all monsters ruthless, psychopath, fearless civilization killing machines? Or do bears simply want you away from their dens? I think most monsters should stay near their dens, and only attack and chase those who get close and then once they've either chased you away or killed you, they should return to their den. There should be roaming monsters who are intelligent to know that attacking a large army is bad, b
