I'm fine with hexes or squares in tactical battles, just not squares that act like octagons. They can use squares that act like squares if they can make it look pretty, but it looks bad now and functions worse.

I haven't read any other post in this thread... I can make a new sov that can have both life and death magic? Is that intended?
Are gamers violent? We don't seem very violent. Maybe if you are a admin on a game forum or a bag of Cheetos, I could see thinking gamers are violent, but that's it.
I don't like the map, both the world map and the combat maps.. I hate the look of it, it's so square and so bland. I think one of the main problems is that you designed a cool concept of being able to change and mold the land, but it was never really utilized and the cost was some really ugly squares that just don't look like anything. I hate the squares that act like octagons. It's a terrible thing for tactical combat. With a tactical wargame, yo
I don't really think it's going to me a new SMAC. I think they intend it to be, but I really doubt that they will recreate that games true sci-fi world. I imagine I will still greatly enjoy it, but I don't think I will set my hopes for this to be a true new SMAC.
It's one of the best games of all time. The "Deb of night" stuff and the news is pretty cool. And playing it a second time as a Malkavian makes it even better.
This last download, I checked everything.
I just re-downloaded it on Steam and the unofficial patch 8.9 on my windows 7 64bit computer, and it's working fine. Make sure you check the widescreen button under the options.
Vista and Windows 7 with unofficial patch. Unofficial, but not unofficial plus, if that matters. My computers are old, my desktop is Vista 32 bit with 4 gb ram and my laptop is windows 7 64 bit.
I play on steam and don't have that problem at all.
I suffer from major depressive disorder and I was recently doing pretty bad and I kind of feel like ranting and getting something off my chest in a somewhat anonymous way. I have mentioned this a few times, but I also have worked in mental health for the last decade most recently at a state hospital. It's taken it's toll on me. I've seen some serious shit, from suicides to brutal assaults, but I have always been able to handle it. What I couldn't take i
I don't see what the big deal is, I just bought a couple of them. Get a job already. J/K, I don't think my car is worth that much money, I couldn't afford that if I sold a kidney.
Paradox and Obsidian have already provided 1000s of hours of entertainment in my life, cool to see them team up. A little worried about bugs, neither has a good reputation in that department.
Forced the wife to go see the new 300 movie. It was pretty terrible, it will be years before I get to pick another movie for us to go to.
Vampire: Bloodlines is one of the best games of all time.
I played in a Beta awhile back, and the game isn't bad, but I just couldn't get into it and haven't bothered with any other beta weekends. I'm not really a MMO fan, I keep trying them and I can never get into them for long. They always seem more like work than play. The exception being City of Heroes, played that one for years.
Alpha Centauri. I could name 4 more, but combined they were not as great at SMAC. I still find it fascinating.
I liked your book. Read it twice. Would have liked it to be a bit more adult, rarely like weak boy hero protagonist. Is there going to be another?
It's been my profession for the last decade to help people fight their own demons. Never believe you are alone, that life can't get better, or that the people around you would be better off without you. Those are the greatest, insidious lies a depressed mind will tell itself. For some of us, life has a great deal more obstacles and trials than others, but never give up. There is always a chance for some joy in your life, You don't know what the future holds
Sounds great to me.
I would. I think it would be cool to go back to WoM and fix some of the issues around features that are no longer in the new games. Like Dynasties. Focus and fix what makes that game different than the new ones. I think you could re-release it and make money on it. Guess it depends on how much resources you want to put into it.
I have a pet Russian Tortoise! His name is Morla and he poops a lot. He also occasionally calls me racial slurs and flicks lit cigarettes at me.
Don't get me started on Trek 4, and especially not 5. 4 was at least a likable movie, 5 on the other hand is Trek's real weak link. 3 was pretty bad too. Oh, and then there were those TNG trek movies, none of them were really good...okay, so most of the old Trek movies were bad.
I have a 2010 Ford Focus, fairly small economic car. I have grown to love the thing, it's a really great car. Drove it to Las Vegas and back, and got 42MPG for the trip. Only problem I have had is with the mass air flow sensor going out twice already, but I haven't had to pay for it being replaced yet.
It was a good read. For some crazy reason, I read "Holdtheline" as something that had to do with hot dogs...there is something not right with my brain today.
