They are pretty similar, actually, Gladius might be even more similar to D&D than the others, I guess the only reason that I said I don't want D&D rules is because the games I have played that used them had terrible combat, I've never played a D&D video game that didn't have horrendous combat. Gladius had 3D battle fields, heavy medium, and light warriors that worked a kind of rock-paper-scissors combat with heavy>Medium>light>Heavy, and they

I don't really want D&D rules for combat, they are actually not that great, in my opinion. I would prefer more Final Fantasy Tactics, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Brigandine ideas of combat, than dungeons and dragons. Or, there was a game created by Lucas Arts called "Gladius" that was pretty much all tactical combat, it was the best tactical combat in any game I have ever played, it had magic and everything, fantastic combat mechanics.
I don't give two shits about the caravan in any way, micro, automatic, couldn't care less, its not interesting or thematic and only function it to make roads. Don't care, the easier you make it to ignore, the better for me.

I'm going to take a break from this board and this game. Maybe when I return the game will have some flavor to it and the the big changes that need to be done to make the game great will be done, and the little details that are c
Not even close.
You can buy it at $30 at walmart. We don't know anything about the expansion as of yet.
Ha, I didnt see Austinvn post before I posted, great minds think alike.

Its that kind of details and polish that the game is really ion need of to make it feel like a dynamic, exciting, and living fantasy world. Since we're usually looking
No, I believe that is all you will have to do. Thanks for joining the Family. I'm the nice one here.
Thanks Kael, I'm just glad to know that you guys read this stuff and consider it.
I'm getting a strange one where the Troggs and Urxen are turing pure white...very strange.

I like the game the way it is in this respect.
Damn, I use to get this bug all the time, but haven't since 1.1. Sucks this is still happening.
Fine, whatever, I apologized. Sorry I hurt your feelings, Brad, didn't mean that much by it. I'm fucking here aren't I? I clearly care about the direction of the game, and I doubt many have played it more than I have. Maybe just let me vent my frustrations every now and then. Maybe let me know some of my issues and ideas are being addressed/considered. Now get to telling me about the Fallen Enchantress, please.
Know what would also be cool? Champions of unusual races. Like Darkling, Scion, Ogres and such.
I'm still here and still talking, trying to get the game moved forward.

There are some pretty good ideas there, like the specail armor made from the monster hide, that was always something really cool in DnD.
I know, I've asked for most of this stuff 3-4 months ago, and not a word. I guess I'm the asshole who keeps hope alive far after I and everyone else should move along.
Yea, your right...just got big boobs on the brain I guess...
So...when are we getting Fallen Enchantress? Boogie said she would have big boobs, but show them in a classy way.
I try. I'm hoping some day it doesn't just feel like "Red Army vs Blue Army vs Green Army on the Fields of empty bland irregular map!". I have played a ton of different strategy games, and I know there are a lot of ideas that could be pulled from them and molded to give this game a more fulfilling experience.
Awesome, glad your brother is doing well, can't ask for a better gift than that. Well, maybe a spaceship...no, healthy brother is better.
Frog, I've played the hell out of the game and still do, and maybe that statement was too harsh, but until 1.1, the game was pretty unplayable except to the really hardcore loyalist. I play it, I just created a thread for it's improvements, I want the game to be better. Sorry if you have thought the game is more than it is, but right now, the game is playable and bland, when before 1.1 it was a struggle to even play and was bland. I'm playing, and have been playing, and have
