Developers - Take credit for success - take blame for failures - you can't have one without the other. It's called "responsibility"
Wasn't Civ 5 a critical and commercial success? I fucking hope one day I fail like that. Brad, be careful, this Jon guy might cause your future games to fail by being a critical and commercial success! The end of Stardock is nigh!&nb

Guys, stop being a dick to Jon. Vent your frustration about Civ 5 stuff at a Civ 5 forum. Or at least not in his welcome thread. Manners people! Yes, I understand the irony of me talking about etiquette and manners, but that doesn't mean it's not true.
Never ever have I once cared for the opinions of fools. (edit: just so we're on the same page, I'm talking about Xia)
Meany, fools are people too!
I'm going to be the new PR guy for Stardock. Brad enjoys by bitching skills as a mother-fucking word smith extraordinaire.
Maybe we should reserve judgment until we actually see what is going to be done with the game, kinda blowing your nerd-rage load a little soon on this. The guy is clearly talented and experienced.
Huh...oh yea...over there is pretty cool...what was I saying?
I don't mean to be rude, but Brad only lets me make over-the-top nerd-rage hyperbole post. Um, you are kinda stepping on my toes. Oh, and I disagree.
Haha, I still laughed, well done Toby.
Oh, and glad to have you aboard, Dave!
How was Destiny's Embers a prequel to the Game? Am I the only one that read that book? It takes place something like 650 years after the game.
I'm not antisocial or arrogant, I just lack impulse control and the ability to filter what I think from what I say/type...poop. I like saying poop...
No thanks, studying sucks, I will just continue to make broad generalizations based on my narrow anecdotal evidence.
I agree with you, but I dread the next major Stardock release. At what point will their customers just start screaming for more knowing SD will cave? Regardless of if such a tactic is successful or not, I'm getting a headache just thinking about the forums around the release. This is sort of like a reverse bail-out. Yea, but these guys are all geeks, and geeks tend to be friends with anyone willing to be friendswith them. Or that's pretty much how I am...why I have a menagerie of friends of varying race, creed, and sexual orientation, when you are a full-blooded geek, you are willing to judge people by what's on the inside and their ability to make jokes using the words: Flux capacitor, Wookie, and C.H.U.D.
I think streamlined is a better way of putting it than dumb-downed. Elemental needs some of that, we want all these features in this game, but the features need to be fun, fast, impactful and the UI easy to understand. He seems like a good choice to me.
Wow, I have to admit, Brad wasn't shitting us when he said he was dedicated to making Elemental a great game and franchise. Who the hell else would put together an all-star team to work on a game that has already been released and trashed by critics? Pretty impressive Brad.
I'm joining Stardock. Nobody has asked me yet, and Brad doesn't seem to like me much, but other than those minor issue, along with barely being able to operate a computer, I'm sure any day now I will be asked to join the Stardock team. I'll probably be Kael's boss by the end of the week.
I think items like the Sword of Wrath and Legendary armor should cost gold and 1 elementium each. This would make those items a lot more special and rare, also you couldn't as easily create squads of legendary armor wearing and sword of wrath wielding champions. Maybe add a crystal cost to them too, and minor magic items like rings. I now agree that a champion and unit should be limited to the number of rings and necklaces they can wear, two rings, one necklace, etc. T

Bitch, bitch, bitch. I think this is a neat spell, or maybe as a random world event, either way, its neat. Good job unacomn.
I think if I create a double incest child(Parents were brother and sister, and their parents were brother and sister), I should instantly win the game. We could call it the "Alabama" Victory
Ahhh, Elana is the nicest person ever!
Sounds cool to me.
Dominions 3 is a fantastic game, love the hell out of it, I am going back to playingand modding it until they can make Elemental more enjoyable to play. Fighting independents with elephants, crossbows, and knights can be costly if your not paying attention. And some times they have special units, I ran into one with golems one time that crushed my expansion. Great game. A million different strategies.
I hate the idea that if your Sov dies, you get to replace them with an equal or better Sov. No incentive to keep your Sov alive, the Sov should be scary powerful, A champion or even child that replaces them should be vastly inferior, the Sov should be the thing of legend, while the champions and children should be heroic, they should be less than the Sov. If the Sov does and then someone else takes over, you should be penalized for it, not rewarded, but still allowed to continue t
