Actually, I had a really crappy starting point and couldn't find a wife for a long time. The big problem, I think with Champions, is just how gear centered and dependant they are. for the most part, how powerful your Champion is is based on the gear they have, not the champion themselves, so they might as well be all the same. Think of a level 10 D&D character with average 1st level equipment and then think of a level 1 D&D character with level 10 magic items and gear. Who would win in a fight? Go for war equipment, and magic items, not spells. Equip your champions and sovs with magic gear and kill.

I would just play, and fart around with the game, try different things. That's how we learned things, all trial and error. The UI pretty mysterious, hides useful shit...

Ive researched that repeatable armor tech, He is using all magic items and is Kingdom, so he has that turtle too, all legendary armor and a Master steel bracers, including the shield, and is using the Elemental Karrazan as his weapon. He's level 8 I think, and most of his stats started off at 15-18 when was level 1, he's pretty bad ass.

I'm not really sure what to say to this, um...I like to complain about the game as much as anyone, but this seems to be a player error. Keep playing the game, try different things, and you will gain a better understanding of the game. Simply, I just think you don't know the game well enough to play well. Good luck.

Yea, if you have non-aggression pacts or alliances, you can go into a friendly kingdom/empire and buy gear they have researched. And if the Neutral faction is around, you can go up to their stores and buy Longswords, and if you are male and of the race of "Men" you can buy pressed iron helmets and chest armor, and they rock early in the game and have no dodge penalty. I love that shit. Sure wish there were more neutral factions and that everyone could use the special items s
